Getting it to write Back To The Future sequelsquote:"Doc! You have to take me back to the future again!" Screamed Marty McFly. quote:"Doc! You have to take me back to the future again!" Screamed Marty McFly. He looked down at his feet. quote:"Doc! You have to take me back to the future again!" Screamed Marty McFly. quote:"Doc! You have to take me back to the future again!" Screamed Marty McFly. When Marty called Doc, Dr. Zoidberg showed up and demanded to see the Doctor and he reluctantly agreed. Suddenly Marty realized that Zoidberg had a hologram, and his friend's name was James "Jim" Rimmer. Jim told Jim that he came to Earth in order to be with Doc, but they never got beyond that point. He then promised to leave on a helicopter. Jim then disappeared. Doc and Zoidberg then started to work out of the Future Hotel and later stopped in Time Square on their way back to the future. I'd watch any of these. SCheeseman has a new favorite as of 17:09 on May 16, 2019 |

From now on can we move all the GPT text generated stories over to the dedicated thread for it? That's why it exists and where it was all meant to go. I'd really like to see and post some other procgen stuff (including graphical stuff) without it getting in lost in all the monkey cheese text dumps that must be scrolled past. OP, what do you think?

Self plug, but I actually created a subreddit for this very thing. There's already /r/ProceduralGeneration, but I wasn't aware of it at the time and created /r/MediaSynthesis.

Here's a recent Youtube tutorial of the software Houdini. Graphics folks know Houdini as a major high-level tool for designing graphical effects just the way you want them. Houdini allows you to put an algorithm together out of various pieces, each of which has some influence on the final result. Your pieces sit in a big tree data structure that you graphically manipulate, move around, or set the individual parameters of. Skip around this clip to see all sorts of crazy poo poo in very high detail. These really good looking effects are made in a semi-blind fashion just by moving the tree nodes around. The narrator explains what they're doing. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4TiMo5Ish34 I recommend 11:13 e: Also 6:45 Happy Thread has a new favorite as of 07:42 on May 17, 2019 |

God some of those are amazing. I wish he would go more into the nitty gritty (like gently caress with sliders and show results) but I guess he's got so much to show he can't spend time on that. Anyway,

Since he's doing a slideshow at a conference where only some of the slides have embedded movie clips, you might have to skip around quite a bit, but it's worth it. Those timestamps I mentioned are good

Ganbreeder users: Anyone else have the system just hang when you try to browse "following" only? And how the gently caress do I make a black person? I've tried everything, and the best I've gotten was light brown. I'm more likely to get grey or completely monochrome. I've had two characters in my CYOA so far that were meant to be dark of complexion, and I've just had to say "good enough" when they have ruddy cheeks. Anyone else have any luck with this? I just find it surreal that it's easier to make zombies or fish aliens or dog-men than a black person.

Ganbreeder uses stylenet, which was fed from imagenet, which is a bunch of CS nerds dumping flickr by hand. I think the stylenet folks deliberately picked input categories to exclude people, since you're less likely to nitpick on an orange or koala or w/e Anyway tl;dr, not a lot of diversity in the training set, and not a lot of focus on people so it sees even less of that. Which means you can make someone with black skin, but there are some side effects... https://ganbreeder.app/i?k=bb450eb70e887f7da89f4866
