Auslander is like a bizarro metal Avicii tune, its almost got a similar vibe to Moskau too. It's tied with Radio for the tune I've bumped most in the car off the album ao far.

There's 3 more videos coming out off this album, and they just teased Auslander as the next one. It's coming out on Tuesday.

I can appreciate that. He seems way more honest and passionate about his solo work than the stuff he does with Key these days, even if Puppy is more likely to fill rooms. OhGr is a fairly realized band and pretty on point live.

I didn't really get the hype about OhGr, then I saw them live last fall and was blown away. I dunno, it was just a super fun and energetic show. And he did it with a broken jaw and I think recovering from a concussion as well!

That speaks a lot to his live game. I hope you get the chance to see that band when they are all 100% and he's not dealing with a broken jaw and likely a weird headspace from getting jumped.

It sounds like they're working on a new album right now with the teasers they've been posting, so I'll definitely catch them if they're in Boston again. I actually didn't know he was injured until the day after his performance.

I went to Convergence 25 a couple weeks ago and I think it was like the third or fourth time I had seen Matt Setzer perform. He's been in a different band every time I've seen him. That guy is in EVERY band.

Rammstein built a whole new stage for their current European tour which kicked off last night. That's good news for anybody outside of Europe, because they kept the last stage for like 10 years or some poo poo, so it would imply that there's a lot more touring coming up. It's pretty sweet.

Loved Rammstein as a teenage dork back when they released Sehnsucht but I've never been too into them since then. But their live shows always seems like so much fun. And they just seem like nice guys. Agressive music with german lyrics making it big in the US was bound to attract a certain breed of shithead and I've always respected the way they made it VERY clear where they stand politically.

Gonna listen to their latest album tonight for old times sake.

I don't really listen to Rammstein anymore (I like the new album a lot though), but I saw them at their 10 year return to US show at MSG back in like 2011 and then a few years later in I think 2013.

Even if you're only kinda a fan, I would recommend going and experiencing their live show. It's so much fun.

Listening to the new Rammstein album a bit and comparing it to Sehnsucht.

A. It's a if time stood still. They haven't changed their sound at all since 97. Pretty charming actually.

B. Listening to both albums on Spotify I don't like how the new one sounds production wise. I'm sure there is some smart term for it but it seems like it uses the whole spectrum even when it doesn't if you know what I mean. Sehnsucht seems much more focused.

C. They still got it. They seem incapable of writing a song that isn't catchy.

D. Having a muic video portray jewish prisoners shooting SS officers in the face is a refreshingly blunt way to remind people of where they stand politically in 2019.

This is definitely the right place for HEALTH, despite being lighter than the usual stuff ITT. Cheers for the heads up regardless, it didn't make it onto my Spotify release radar for some reason.

Slaves of Fear gets a lot easier to enjoy when you realize that it's contrived as hell, and that it doesn't matter at all that it is. It doesn't push any boundaries at all for anyone, but it makes you glad that HEALTH is a thing and that they put out such a definitive release.

I'm certain they had an African-german(one assumes) woman portray Germania because they knew nazi scum would claim the song and Rammstein represented them if that role was played by someone pale and blonde.

Exactly. They know what they're doing. And the symbology is more important for Rammstein than most bands since the vast majority of people watching their videos won't understand the lyrics.

As someone who likes a lot of industrial music and neo-folk stuff I like how Rammstein always tell the nazis to gently caress off. Industrial music in general has a tendency to attract quite a few shitheads what with all the uniforms and leather but I'd say that the ratio of artist with lovely views is similar to most genres. But enjoying neo-folk is a curse. I mostly use spotify for music but when it comes to neo-folk I still have a folder with pirated mp3s since I don't want to support the artists in any way. I'm just a sucker for melancholic songs about decay, odes to roman generals and poo poo like that. You know, nerd poo poo. Such a shame that 99% of neo-folk artists are nazi shitheads. At least I get the feeling that they're not the kind of people who will actually go out and do anything. More likely to be the founding (and sole) member of something like The order of teutonic knights of Sheffield.

this is from the Grand Theft Auto Arena War soundtrack EP that they released a few months ago. check that out if you enjoyed no god in thunderdome. slower and chunkier than a lot of slaves of fear.

i do hope all the collab singles they have been trickling out over the past year (with ghostmane, perturbator, no life, jpegmafia, soccer mommy and youth code) are a tease of some larger full length release of collaborative tracks, because they've all been radically dynamic.

I saw Hanzel und Gretyl open for MINISTRY well over 10 years ago. Maybe 2003? This was just after they released their album, Über Alles. The whole nazi spill thing was done in such a over-the-top way then, no-one really took it too serious. Now, in today's current political climate, it may be received just a little different.
