Long Live The King!

The best way to explain the deal with Yo-Yo would be that she doesn't have super fast reflexes because she's not a speedster like other speedsters. It's just always a conscious effort when she uses her powers. That way the powers are still useful but she's not overpowered or stupid depending on the scene. I don't think Agents of SHIELD has ever treated her powers like that but it's how they should do it.

I had honestly forgotten about Yo-Yo's powers until she strapped the guy down. But I was still surprised she stood there for what felt like forever while he went all Ozzy Ozborne on that thing.

I figured it was just the warning Mack gave Keller at the beginning of the episode coming true. He said when you're involved with someone you work with in the field it effects your ability to make snap decisions, you freeze up instead of acting. You're instinct to not cause pain to someone you care about slows your thinking just enough to cause bad poo poo to happen anyway.

For the space birbs, any other comic reader getting a organic Phalanx vibe from them?

Mack kinda sucks. "Don't tell me you're loving my ex cause then I'll have to make minor personnel changes also I'm probably still in love with her".

Seemed more like 'Look I'm your boss. Now, if you tell me that you're dating someone on your squad; officially, I'll have to separate you two as per S.H.E.I.L.D. rules. Don't tell me, and I can look the other way.'

That bird was crawling in his mouth even faster than someone pulling the trigger a hallway away.

And not so much "save" the planet they're on, but more like try to stop the spread before the fungus bird population is unmanageable. Once that happens, Team Coulson2 destroy the planet in an attempt to cauterize the spread and move to the next because they inevitably miss a few.

what if they don’t actually destroy every planet? They destroyed the last one but maybe they just couldn’t contain the birds there so they burned it all down. otherwise you’d think they’d just destroy it immediately and not bother seeking them out

*looks at the weights sitting under his chair* aaah...my carpel tunnel you see.

Okay, I'm on board with the Earth stuff now. Space Stuff is still better, but not by much. Glad they finally caught someone so maybe they can get an exposition dump.

Also this show has never been afraid to get super gross, but drat Agent Deathmark's crystal death was certainly up there.

I had antenna issues right when the bird swooped into him so for a few seconds I was thinking "we've got a main character, the romantic interest, and a nameless black woman. Well, I know who's NOT getting killed in this static."

No, the best way to explain the deal with Yo-Yo is that the writers were loving hellbent on killing her new boyfriend and that she had to be there to see it, so they gave her the idiot ball to hold for a few minutes.

You get the sense that Jaco's the only in Sarge actually respects. He's got a bit of a father/daughter thing going on with Snowflake, but he's already lining up a replacement for the other guy (which is a shame, as he seems the most reasonable).

Snow follows most orders and she lacks scruples, so she's good enough for now. It's the best of a bad situation.
