Just look at all the detail baked into Jordan Cross and Ken Morgan, most of which is only exposited in bits and pieces as you listen in on their every conversation and murder them in every possible way And they made a song or two specifically for it too. (and funny thing is that it's implied that's 47's drumming on one of the posthumous tracks)

Reminds me of what I was gonna say about Mystic Quest; games specifically made as 'baby's first x' are usually actually pretty good because they're often made with a lot more care and coherent design goals than most games are, with the idea that they should be easy to play and just interesting enough to keep them amused the whole way without getting them stuck. (compared to the old-school design sensibility holdover from arcade games where the difficulty had to go up a cliff at some point to keep kids from beating it in one rental period)

His friends like to joke that Jordan is "like Bruce Wayne, only he wishes his dad had been shot".

Some levels have muffins that you can use, unlocking the muffin allows you to bring the muffin to any mission in your inventory. To unlock the muffin you have to complete some silly challenges in the game (such as knocking 5 people unconscious with muffins). They trickle silly content like this out for free all year and it's fun but theres no necessary or game breaking gear gated behind it

Poker Night at the Inventory is probably the worst game I've ever played because one of the characters (that loss comic guy) is literal poo poo and they didn't bother to write a single funny line for any of the other characters. Not that it matters because loss guy would just garfield all the humour out of it anyway. So it's just a really slow poker game with Good Mythical Morning -level banter that keeps repeating. Poker Night at the Inventory 2 is OK.

I still get shivers down my spine when I think about those burger king games. Although it was kind of nuts back then that they released 360 games for $4 each. Seemed like a crazy deal but gently caress playing a game as that revolting Burger King mascot.

How the actual gently caress is God of War 2 running on the Vita? Holy poo poo. The frame rate drops here and there, but it's pretty cool.

Reloading guns is boring. I want to press down the trigger at the start of a game and release it at the end. Don't make me take a break from killing every 5 seconds. Make the guns magic. Like when you see kids playing war you can see who the nerds are. They're the ones who stop to reload.

Theres nothing intrinsically wrong with reloading, Dooms super shotgun for instance has a reload, but theres no loving reason to have reloading and have your character able to carry 600 bullets in a game where every magazine has 30 and every enemy dies in 2 or 3 shots. One or the other.
