Man this remake of Battle for Bikini Bottom plays great, but some of the additions are weird. I don’t remember Spongebob defeating Robo-Sandy and then turning to Patrick and going “So much for the tolerant left!” in the original

I happen to have found my gamecube around Christmas and played a few rounds with my Brother, who also loved it. We used to spend all day playing it. About half way into a 5 minute match we were bored and wondering what the gently caress used to be fun about it. Dicked around in the campaign and it's fun, but I remember the multiplayer very fondly. We tried all the maps we map as kids as they were still on the memory cards, they are as bad as you'd expect a kid to make. I still wouldn't mind a new time splitters and Perfect Dark game, something really should exist for couch FPS gaming.

Do kids even care about Pokemon anymore? When I worked in childcare none of the schoolagers gave a poo poo about the series. It was all about My Little Pony, Roblox, and Five Nights At Freddy's. Maybe the pre-k or younger were into it though? And yes I know my sample size is very tiny. I just wanted to get back to Pokemon chat from the THQ debacle

I have a copy of X that I never made it past the 2nd gym just stopped playing. My nephew now has it and enjoyed the game. Nowhere near the obsession in gen 1 but his file had a good 200 hours on it when he was showing me his pokemon. (My blue cart hit 1,000 hours but I also put it into pokemon stadium and played at super speed) He's far more into Mario, which is probably a good thing. He was also trying to fill me in on the plot of the pokemon TV show. I did not force the game on the kid at all, I gave it to him with a stack of games I had, he still hasn't touched Luigi's Mansion or Star Fox so he chose to play it. He found animal crossing dumb. A couple of years back it was super popular at the library I worked out with kids 10 and under. The middle-schoolers I'd see with 3DS's were normally playing Mario Kart, though maybe Pokemon was involved. I couldn't say. I'd have to ask my high schoolers, but I don't think they're into it anymore, I saw one kid playing Smash though. I could see myself getting it for a child. It's an easy, fun, and cute RPG. I've always found it weird how into it some people get, and how seriously battling can be taken, because it just looks like a crapshoot to me. But good on people enjoying things. If it goes back to being grind-free like in the GC ones with better written characters, I may consider it.
