Yeah. It's fine during the World Cup or whatever, but for the season that's too much. I wonder will they keep the European one separate or if they'll move that one under the Ramble banner. Never really listened to that one, so don't know if that would work.

They'll need to get some extra people in to not make it really repetitive.

I'd imagine they will have to bring guests in because from what I can tell Pete is too busy for a daily one on top of his other stuff.

I assume they're going to be dropping the length of the episodes to 10 - 15 minutes because I have no idea what else they're going to do without falling back on steve mclaren timelord type stuff again

Yeah, I think the World Cup ones were 25mins each, which would be ok I guess. Hopefully they get them out first thing in the morning for people's commute.

edit: I just saw someone on Reddit suggest that there might be a Ramble Meets every week and if OTC is rolled into The Ramble, it mightn't be a massive difference. Maybe they'll have an emails episode or something, too.

Yeah, me too. They seem to be scraping the bottom of the barrel for guests lately, too. Listened to a couple of them, but they were quite dull.

Rangers died, shoujo Hitler cried ;_;
There’s more they could get out of OTC given the scope of it;

Main ramble
OTC top 4 leagues
Ramble meets
OTC minnows
Previews
DWHoF for games/ discussion etc

Plus more fan engagement which they’re clearly keen on to grow their audience..

Feels like they probably need to make the step up towards a more traditional? media scope before they can bag some of the bigger interviews though. Would love to hear anyone but Luke interview a premier league manager or something like that.

Yeah, that's true. I don't even know what type of interviews I would like from them. I'm not bothered about what players have to say (never read a footballer's autobiography or anything like that) and there are only a few managers I would listen to an interview with.

Yeah it's going to be interesting to see what they do for the other 3 shows as they've already indicated it's not just going to be Ramble x5. Ramble Meets varies in quality massively depending on who the guest is, can't comment on OTC.

Gotta say as much as I love the Ramble, you can easily have too much of a good thing. During the World Cup and Euros it was fine since they've got games to discuss, but I've already found with the 12 Rambles of X series that I got pretty over listening to them every day. Maybe they've got some great ideas and it'll be worth it, but I'm actually not real excited about this.

Probably doesn't help that I work from home and so don't have a commute I need to fill with content.

I agree with this, but the problem with those is how false a lot of them are. They've all clearly read up on whatever the subject is and tried to make it look like they were coming up with the stuff off the top of their heads.

Yeah, they were fine and I really like Max. He basically says in the follow up article that he sort of had to write it because of what happened with his dad. They're not going to win any awards, but they're readable.

Are the best of Rambles worth a listen or are they just back slapping?

Also, is anyone else finding Lars quite irritating on FW lately?

I had shots recently because I was at a wedding but otherwise as a married man in my 30s yeah shots arent something that happens that often, and the free shots story that started the talk you know those shots were cheap horrible ones you only drink when you're mortal. So yeah I don't think you can hate Max for his opinions on shots.
