Sounds like a My Uncle Works At Nintendo situation. AFAIK there have been no specific announcements about housing in the future.

The only thing about housing it that it's heavily implied we'll get Ishgard houses after crafters and gatherers help rebuild the city.

Airships are basically an extension of housing for crafters to play around with. You make the parts, assemble a ship, then send it out to gather stuff from spots around the world.

I would legit love an airship house though. Like, we all get an airship that we can decorate, remodel, equip with cool guns and propellers and stuff, and it's got room belowdecks for some furniture.

Kinda like the Blackjack.

This except that airships can’t have aetheryte so you have to pick which city-state you are parking it at and then you can only access the airship from that city-state’s airship dock.

I don't see how anyone actually dies at this point in Sycrus Tower. It is the most chill "turn your brain off" raid I have ever seen. The bosses do like mildly irritating damage at best lol

People unfamiliar with the raid still die. Besides the obvious (freezing to death or snakes eating frogs while healers are busy DPSing, eating curtain call and not levitating for ancient quaga) the levitation markers can also kill you if you have one and run it away from people.

You're right in the sense that the bosses don't have mechanics that would wipe even the most afk raid, though.

The levitation markers can also kill in the event all three people stack them, since they do damage when they come out! It's been a while since I witnessed more than a couple people die to triple levitation spacing though.

I had the same thought! The ship battles in Assassin's Creed Black Flag were about as close as I got to something similar to SoA airship battles.

I've always wanted some kind of large-vehicle PvP in my MMOs, but I know my idea would impossible to implement in a Duty Finder setting.

As far as I know they have not, and the exclusion of weapons from that system is super dumb.

Also, level cap dungeons should really have it too so I could get my Skalla chestpieces in this lifetime :argh:

At least add it to the cap dungeons after the expansion is over, especially with SB, since some of the dungeon sets are contest designs. All the off-patch dungeons, right? Skalla, Swallow's Compass, and Ghimlyt are all design contest winners. Lost Allagan was the other, IIRC. (e: I actually don't think Ghimlyt is and I don't think what they picked for melee/ranged physical is in the game yet)

Or, like, make it a token system. Turn in drops you're not going to use for tokens and then get the thing with 10 tokens or whatever.

http://ff14angler.com/ if you wish to do it, familiarize yourself with this website. Fishing is still a labyrinthine mess though, compared to the other gatherer's. I just finally managed to get of Dragon's Deep recently and couldn't imagine trying to go for more punishment. The worst part to me is the vast array of bait you need. I wish they'd standardize things down so you could get one crafted bait that covers everything per expansion or something.

The bait thing is only a problem in ARR where you had a ton of different bait for different level ranges, and the big fish in ARR used a large variety of bait. Now once you're max level everything bites off of like 3 different bait that you buy with gatherer scrips. So for 3/4 of Stormblood big fish you're using stonefly larva. The problem with Stormblood big fish is the ridiculous gaps in between available windows. Ruby Dragon is the only fish I still have left to catch and the time between the previous window and the next window is 23 days. Not in game days. Actual real life days.

I think FSH works best as a thing you do idly and slowly while focusing on other things. Trying to shotgun your way through as much of the log as you can before ShB hits will be simultaneously boring and frustrating. Occasionally going out and clearing out the log for some fishing holes you haven't done yet while watching TV or reading a book is pretty relaxing, just delay any extremely rare fish until later and let it take however long it takes. With the way the log is naturally broken up into zones and fishing spots within those zones it's a pretty nice grind in the sense that you always feel you're making tangible progress as you work your way through, even with 700+ fish.

At some point you'll be 70 with only the stupid rare fish left, and you can decide how much you care about that fact then. Alternatively, you'll think fishing is boring and stop well before. Trying to level it fast or making fishing your main in-game focus for the next month is probably not a good idea; you can, but it's probably the least fun way to approach it that you could take.

As someone whose highest job is at 40 and a pretty slow leveler, is there any particular reason to buy Stormblood until I'm done with Heavensward's story, and then subsequently the new expansion until I'm done with SB, other than maybe using the new jobs to do the leveling content?

Probably best to just buy Shadowbringers, it gives you all the Stormblood stuff (though not for a few weeks).

If you want to use a Viera or Hrothgar or the new jobs, yeah, that's about it for now.

That said keep in mind you are level capped to your current oldest expansion which means if you hit 60 you're going to be wasting any EXP you get after that.

If you preorder Shadowbringers you get earrings that give a 30% experience boost until level 70. They also grow with your level so you never have to worry about your earring slot on any combat classes. That's about it to be honest.
