Could this be... the return of Lombard's Uncle John?

It's amazing how funny, smart and dynamic Peter is in these old 70s strips. He's genuinely witty and original. A real sea change.

The tools of a hero mean nothing without a solid core.

To be fair to Loomis I've had much the same reaction when somebody insists on an unnecessary PowerPoint presentation.

It's all a commentary on the very real repercussions of repetitive head trauma.

Is Lombard's Uncle John dead? I thought the first guy Lombard Stabbed was just a random asylum nurse.

No. Lombard stabbed a nurse, gave a concussion to a truck driver, murdered his plastic surgeon, and ordered the murder of possibly various of his cultists whenever they got cold feet (at least one dead), but at no time has he attacked his only known relative Uncle John.

Ahahaha holy poo poo, this was probably supposed to be some other character but the colorist got confused and thought it was Peter. Now we have this comic where Peter Parker yells "LOOK AT ME!"

God, I love NSM.

In the 70s, deploying a slideshow is basically equivalent to hacking, or arming an EMP. It's high tech!

The crowd didn't even end up understanding what Spider-Man was trying to say. JJJ had no idea what Spidey was doing and if JJJ represents the rest of the crowd then everyone except the shrink and Robbie just saw Loomis go nuts, incite a quickie riot, and then give himself up.
