alan moore was loving awesome. he managed to come across as a total lunatic while being entirely cogent, reasonable and thoughtful at the same time. now i want to be an anarchist magician too i havent read any of his stuff (including the watchmen, because i assumed it was superhero bullshit), but now i will

The Guardian book podcast has an episode from three years ago where the comedian Stewart Lee interviewed Alan Moore on stage about "Jerusalem" and it's a fun listen. They're long time friends and have similar tastes so it's quite charming, funny and informative. For instance, Lee read Moore's first novel years ago and asked why he front loaded it with this hard to read made up language and Moore replied "to stop cunts from reading it".
