I am fully aware of how inefficient downdraft stoves are (it's replacing another downdraft unit). The stove is located on a peninsula and my kitchen has high-vaulted ceilings, so installing a chimney would be even more money. Those pop-up exhaust fans aren't cheap either.-

lmao the e-reader programme used by some publishers also graciously allow you to print or save a limited number of pages as pdf (usually 5-10). To go over that you have to screenshot that poo poo on your computer. So as an academic if I'm looking for a specific quote, I have to open folders of saved screenshots and manually look for them. Why don’t you run them through OCR? Do they have some countermeasures?

Just ordered tonight so not installed yet but: Magnaflow exhaust for my Civic. Adds zero horsepower but the car is too quiet and my friend was able to get me like 25% off.

I guess I could, but now I mostly just buy the few books I need. My field is mostly article-based anyway, so it's not a huge headache by any means. I just think that it's comical things work as badly as they do almost two decades into the 21st century.

Got a wall mount for the TV in the basement of the new house. Figured it would be a good time to show my boy the Big Lebowski.

Once I have all the furniture and speaker placement figured out those wires will be hidden.

Why mount it so high. Isn't it more comfortable at eye level when you're sitting? Otherwise your head tilts back slightly the whole time.

It's a really big room. It feels pretty natural to look at with the couch so far away. The TV used to sit on the stand where the center speaker is in that photo and it was way too low. I like it so far but it's not a big deal to move it down a little. It's a reclining couch so when you're leaning back the TV kind of falls into your view at that height.

Does the headrest tilt your head forward as you recline back so you can still see the tv?

Cuz life sucks, kids. Get it while you can.

People do mount TVs way too high. I blame new home builders, sometimes the only place to put a TV is above the fireplace.

Also I get the feeling the "buh buh buh but I don't want to crane my neck forward" (which isn't a thing anyway) is just too many fat folds where the neck should be making normal viewing angles uncomfortable.
