I am fully aware of how inefficient downdraft stoves are (it's replacing another downdraft unit). The stove is located on a peninsula and my kitchen has high-vaulted ceilings, so installing a chimney would be even more money. Those pop-up exhaust fans aren't cheap either.-

Just ordered tonight so not installed yet but: Magnaflow exhaust for my Civic. Adds zero horsepower but the car is too quiet and my friend was able to get me like 25% off. AEM Intake for the Civic  And the KTuner to get some actual horsepower instead of just fun noises

Why mount it so high. Isn't it more comfortable at eye level when you're sitting? Otherwise your head tilts back slightly the whole time.

It feels pretty natural to look at with the couch so far away. The TV used to sit on the stand where the center speaker is in that photo and it was way too low. I like it so far but it's not a big deal to move it down a little. It's a reclining couch so when you're leaning back the TV kind of falls into your view at that height.

Grabbed a lightly used Weber Genesis E-330 stainless steel off facebook marketplace for a song at $150. Guy even threw in a full lp tank and a Nebraska Huskers grill cover (which will promptly be going in the trash) Time to get to scrubbing the heck out of the whole thing.

You're also talking about a 10 degree difference in neck angle which is negligible at best. Also you can sit in your recliner with your dog on you doing a cuddle.

People do mount TVs way too high. I blame new home builders, sometimes the only place to put a TV is above the fireplace.

Also I get the feeling the "buh buh buh but I don't want to crane my neck forward" (which isn't a thing anyway) is just too many fat folds where the neck should be making normal viewing angles uncomfortable.
