I love Newcastle United Football Club.

E: I think of all the comedy manager options I’d like to have it be Phil Brown the most. His time at Hull was the best. The headset? The on the field pep talk? The false story about how he took the team for a walk around Hull and saved a man’s life? :discourse:

I certainly would have no reservations if GD endorsed Phil Brown as the official recommended candidate for Newcastle manager of The Ray Parlour

I don’t get it. I’m guessing the group wanted a photo of the stadium. But United allowed them only to use a “numeric figure”? What does that mean? United basically didn’t consent to a photograph?

Basically Utd only allowed them to refer to the stadium e.g "There are 76k homeless kids in Manchester. Enough to fill Old Trafford" but not actually let them visualise that

I assume it's because they have some agreement with another charity or something, but for a club so focused on branding and the like, they're really poo poo at PR.

The only thing that I know is what I don’t want. What I don’t want is crystal clear. What I want, the general profile of it, of course, but I cannot say, obviously, clubs and country. I am quite pathological in this sense I have to play to win, he told the Coaches’ Voice.

Then if I win or don’t win, that’s my problem. That’s my problem and the players and the structure. I need a project where the feeling is I play to win. If somebody gives me wonderful, incredible, 10-year contract and asks me the objective of the team is to stay in the first part of the table. ‘If you finish seventh or eighth or ninth, that’s perfect.’ That’s not for me. That’s my nature.

Of course, sometimes, I remember what I did before, what I won before, this kind of thing, but it’s not me so my next is to fight to win.

Either that or he’ll gently caress off to Asia or the US for a last payday that honestly he’s earned.

He's said that if Las Palmas get back up to La Liga he'll finish out his career with them, as they're his hometown club. They're second division right now so that's probably off the cards.
