How are the two new bonus missions?

Master Mode on The Bank is very disappointing. They didn't patch any holes and I'm not sure they have any additional guards what so ever.
I could effortlessly SASO with the exact same method I used on Professional.

God I love this bumbling around learning the level part of a new Hitman level. Ended up killing quite a lot of responding guards after I couldn't resist running into the lasers in the vault to see what happens.

Pretty sure I found it in the tiny room with two guards that is behind the security desk to your left from the main start.

Can someone tell me where the award that you need for one of the challenges is? It's the only challenge I have left and I can't find it.

Yeah I never saw a way to do that one. Wonder how hard it would to be snipe the lady also.

So, the kill itself in the new jungle mission seems easy. Getting the item, though...

The target in the Mumbai extra mission can me killed with one shot from the starting position in under a minute.
They'll spot the body, but it's possible to fire from the street without being seen or heard. Maybe there's a sweet spot somewhere where the body can drop and not be seen until you get to the nearest exit?

Wow. I'm trying to SA the magician mission, and have run into a locked apartment at the top floor of the block. I drop a coin on the doorstep for an NPC to open it for me. No guards show up, instead a random, guy from the street walks into the guarded building, all the way up the stairs and flings the door open for me.

Couldn't even figure out a way to get Mann alone so I had to figure out how to get into the vault and escape with the data core that of course makes the entire map suspicious to preserve my SA.

Good map.

Why does it say Hitman 2 is downloading 80 gigs on Steam? That seems like a lot. I had it installed yesterday with all the levels prior to this so I was expecting the patch to be like.... 10 gigs and I'd get to play it tonight. Will be time to go to bed just as it finishes at this rate.

Foretold by Gyromancy
Spent like an hour fumbling around the bank - always my favorite phase of Hitman.

I took out the CEO by doing the Hostile Termination storyline, poisoned Mann as he was musing about foreclosing on more people, and knocked out the head of security in a vacant area after wiping the security footage. Just overhearing loads of stuff in between tells me this map is gonna be a good one.

Was doing a master sa/so only run on the bank and had the datacore in a briefcase as I went upstairs to deal with the lady who's name I forget. Realize a couple minutes later I forgot to pickup the briefcase after I dragged a body. So had to sneak thru crowded rooms twice more to get it.

Good map.

Turns out it fits in a briefcase, there is one on the same floor as the vault. Real easy to sneak out

That's weird! But I eventually found the armored car key next to the sleeping guard so I just took the exit right next to the vault, lol.

Just go down to the vault and Diana will prompt you. It's not that interesting, it's basically 'go upstairs and get a keycard, then turn a TV on and use said keycard'

Ah, that's a shame, I haven't tried them yet.

The bank's been pretty fun so far but I do not like how many enforcers there are guarding the stairs.

Gaz-L

I don't think they changed the maps at all for the special assignments, they don't have any explicit mission stories and even the challenge based ones that are there are really disappointing. It sucks, because the politician one in Sapienza is one of my favourite missions period.

The bank is kinda disappointing too because there's not a lot of unique challenges and some of the mission stories feel pretty bare bones. I feel like the game probably didn't sell that well and the budget for this stuff was cut back.

I must be a dunce because I can't get loving Mann or the other guy alone, they just keep pacing in the same tiny loving area. It's kind of a letdown how it feels like there's not much room to wiggle around with the targets, they're really confined to certain places compared to like, the two targets in Paris who can be taken out from various places and lured around the big map.

Also gently caress that one lady in the document hallway, christ the amount of times she got Suspicious of me, god drat

"What if we gave you a guarded target in the jungle" and "What if the Mumbai apartment were a fortress" seem more like templates for contract makers.

master sniper/sa/so is really trivial, only need 4 mastery

start at entrance with a lockpick and your sniper-in-briefcase, disposable scrambler in the bathroom. lockpick door on your left, shoot out the camera inside and drop your briefcase. collect your scrambler, go back to your sniper (leave it where it is) then scramble the glass door to the vault and go down. use the aircon to clear out the guards, one of them has a key you can take that lets you into all the safe deposit boxes (or you can just lockpick). enter vault and steal data core, exit vault and drop the core just outside the big round door.

go through the glass doors to the vault lobby (you won't be trespassing anymore) then go left through the door (trespassing time) and take the money truck keys from the sleeping guard (they are next to him, no knockout needed). in the room to your right with two guys in it, lockpick the closest deposit box to get the conker's bad fur day file. head to the redhead reporter on the main floor and give her this file.

go back to your briefcase with the sniper rifle, pick it up. there's a room that the target goes to after you give the file to the reporter, it has a closet in it and there's a pipe next to it. trespassing but completely unguarded. hide in the closet until the target shows up, wait for the door to close (she has an escort who waits outside) then exit closet, take out sniper and headshot her. leave the sniper, and go down the pipe.

return to the vault, collect the data core, exit via money truck. the only time i had to restart/load my game was when i realised i should have brought my sniper rifle along. you are never in a position where anybody can catch you doing anything.

e: for contracts mode purposes, the golden masked bank robber outfit is not a different outfit than the standard bank robber outfit.

Maybe I'm just fooled by the number of spaces, how densely packed with details they are, and how high the ceilings are, but I was and remain impressed at the size, it certainly feels less cramped than Bangkok for instance.

Honestly thought I'd get an achievement for stealing everything I could lay my hands on. Maybe I need to be dressed as a bank robber?

Can't wait to try that tonight with the Pyaday 2 soundtrack blaring.

edit: Now, more than ever I think, we need a "tactical vest" item. We've got so many "loud options" for John Wick style shoot-em-up runs but we're still as resilient as an egg.

Hahahah.

exit appears easy to trigger: crash the stock and be dressed as an investment banker

after you meet the requirements to exit the level (e.g. kill all targets in contracts mode) the exit is open

e: they just fixed a bug, there's like 30 new challenges now

his name is Frank Winkelman and he's retiring, i assume it's a reference to being Two Days From Retirement and then bad poo poo goes down at their place of employment and they die. there's a vodka bottle just past the Lost and Found which is his retirement gift, you can give it to the director and poison her instead

weirdly the job seeker's name is Lewis Whitesides but the HR people refer to him (you) as "Mr. Thomas". the fired banker's name is Logan Deen but the director calls him "Mr. Jackson"
