Hi there. I'm creating a video documenting the media's gradual dehumanisation of refugee's, asylum seekers and mexicans in general. I figured this thread would be the best place to check and ask for prime examples of inhumanity. I already have; womp womp, fox dickhead comparing camps to day care, fox dickhead saying migrants being gassed was the highlight of their thanksgiving and new dickhead saying they're "not our kids" so it's no big deal. I also posted this in the ICE thread but figured this was a great place to ask, too.

There are a couple of recent Limbaugh quotes out there. One where he compares migrants arriving at the border to the D-Day invasion (on D-Day remembrance day), and more recently one where he laments the photo of a dead migrant man and his dead toddler, not because of how horrific it is but because Democrats are "using" it to smear Republican policy. I feel like 4chan and 8chan are more dangerous than almost any other right wing propaganda outlet. Who hosts them? We got Infowars and Stormfront deplatformed and neither of those were as objectively objectionable. Hell, 4chan has even recently started courting advertisers. The current generation of Neo-Nazis were and are largely being radicalized on these sites, not Fox News.

It's still the same dynamic and overall approach though. One feeds off the other and it starts with a basic element of projecting fear and telling people that they're being lied to by the "mainstream" and that only here can you learn what they don't want you to know. I'd throw loving Youtube in there too since we're talking about it. It's the result of an idea that starts with "what if we let anyone say whatever they wanted with no censorship, moderation and with complete freedom?" Sounds good, right? I'd say the results are in that it's not such a great idea in execution and we've reached the point where, if we point it out, we're accused of making GBS threads on free speech and therefore it is US who the nazis. FOX News just lends an air of legitimacy to it all (somehow) by offering essentially the same thing for some of the same reasons, only iced over with a veneer of credibility based soley on their ratings and their ability to capitalize on everyone's collective anger after 9/11.

I can't speak for the British, but considering how many Americans probably don't know who she is I doubt she's front and center within the minds of the average BBC viewer (outside of the number of Americans who pay attention to BBC or particularly politically-minded British folks). But that's what makes that interview so profound. Not only did he give up the game on the "facts don't care about your feelings" bit of his by breaking down in the pissiest and emotionally charged way, he also didn't bother to put in the least amount of thought or research into who he was speaking with or what strategy he'd take. His mushy brain just went into the same mode you'd expect from your lovely Republican uncle who just screams "HILLARY!!!! AOC!!!!!SOCIALISM!!  " tirade whenever politics come up. He can't even claim the "I"m an intellectual!" thing anymore, in addition to the feelings thing. He burned it all to the ground in one short clip. He claimed to be the greatest baseball player of all time, but when it came time for him to step up to the plate he hit the ball and ran to 3rd. He'll still likely be around and influential within his already existing audience, but after that I'd really hope he's loving done.

That Even More News video about Lil Ben is great because it shows him being interviewed for one of his early books by some nice old lady who is clearly confused on what a dumbass he is. he also tries to claim that Anne Coulter is a comedian, and that Bill Cosby is a conservative. Yes you can totally have him, as Cosby and Trump have a lot in common. Oh yea, Its amazing for chuds to go "AOC wants to ruin america!!" and people going "who the gently caress is AOC?" because they're not obsessed with her.

Well, out here in Portland the proud boys and counterprotestors had a mild scuffle yesterday. Expect to hear a lot of "cement milkshakes" and "brain hemorrhage" with zero proof over the next few days. Hate to admit it, but they were ready to hit social media running on this one. Already a 50k GoFundMe for Andy Ngo and an insane narrative being pushed. Guy went into the counterprotest and started talking poo poo. A few idiots threw some punches, a milkshake was thrown, and he was silly stringed. He was quickly given a protective escort out by other members of the counter protest. According to Reddit and other social media, the milkshake was filled with concrete, he was silent, he was beaten and kicked, had to be carried to the hospital, etc, etc. I'm honestly at a loss of how to counter such tactics. You can't legitimately fight an opponent who will race to be underhanded whenever possible.
