As the press is pretty much in the hands of those with property and money, they will always rally in the defense of those things, well before truth.

Rumours about a new Blackadder series have been around for years and without exception they all sound terrible, from the biblical epic that would inevitably be a worse Life of Brian to Blackadder as manager of a '60s band that was almost the Beatles, which sounds like it would have maybe half an episode of material at best. Also Upstart Crow (David Mitchell is Blackadder as Shakespeare) was crap

I did only watch the first few episodes so if it improves dramatically at some point I wouldn't know (and things can, the first series of Blackadder was rough as hell). But I wasn't a fan of what I saw
