There's nothing physically wrong with Blake Snell, right? I put out a feeler offer that actually got accepted, and he got dropped in another league. I get that his past few starts have inflated his ERA, but all his peripherals are really close to last year. The only things I can see are that his LOB% is down and his HR/FB are up, which just seems like a lot of bad luck to me.

Bad luck, mostly. Now Jack Flaherty on the other hand :negative:

I will say an elevated HR% or HR/FB rate this year might not just be "luck" but Snell's ERA is way higher than it probably should be regardless.

I picked him up and apparently hit "Confirm" faster than my brother did on the transaction, and boy oh boy is he mad at me and that alone makes it a good pickup for me.

FG has him as a 60/60 Hit/Power guy and most people think he's going to be a great fantasy asset if not this year then in the coming ones. I mostly picked him up because right now my only 2B is Marte and I don't really trust Scooter when he's off the IL.

Yeah there are a couple of power hitters I think will go on a tear and he's one of them. Oakland in general seems like a powder keg ready to burst.

I almost talked myself out of drafting Luke Voit for that reason. There needs to be a thread for pre-opening day thoughts in Fantasy Baseball.

"Shane Greene is always injured and Joe Jimenez will be saving games by the 15th" was something I said to myself when I dropped Greene for Archie loving Bradley.

Can't post for 6 hours!
Randomly checked and I have 5 of the top 25 overall players in my league. Plus seven others in the top-100.

Scherzer, #5, first round
JOSH BELL, #9, FA
Rendon, #14, fourth round
Hader, #16, ninth round
Muncy, #24, eleventh round

With an even distribution in a 12 teamer, you'd have an average of 8.3 top-100 players. Pretty pleased with that.

That number is probably going to change.

At one point during draft season, I considered Bell as my 2nd UTIL pick, last man on the bench role. Nick Markakis, Tyler White, Jesse Winker, etc. Would love to have that one back.
