My Great Grandfather made a saw like this (not as short, but no guides, guards, or anything) back in the 40's. We used it on the farm until my dad retired from farming. It was super unsafe. The power switch was on the back so you had to either walk around the saw or reach over the top to turn it on and off. It did take a bite out of my grandma's finger once, but it didn't go all the way through. She got lucky with the tendons. It was pretty gnarly though. It did it's job well. A little weird to use and adjust, but it worked well..

The kind of driver who would cut off a motorcyclist in the process of driving across a “do not cross” lane divide like that also seems like the kind of person to respond poorly to slights. That said, holy  he’s going to get (or already got) reamed when that video is shown in court.

There are many ways to deal with someone being a dangerous rear end in a top hat on the road and "follow them and attack their car!" is a pretty loving stupid one all around.
