I think Gunbreaker is mechanically closer to WAR than DRK. Realistically it seems like all the tanks are shocking similar right now. Everyone has pretty similar toolbox and it seems to largely vary in flavor.

Doing some more thinking on the MSQ and storytelling (endgame story spoilers): I think overall they did a great job with pacing. The five lightwardens gave you milestones to look forward to and Emet revealed himself as the big bad at exactly the right moment to build tension. The one part I feel suffered was early Tempest. It felt like such an abrupt halt to the buildup the story had been working towards. It wouldn't have been as bad if it weren't for the game throwing typical fetch quests at you and the level 80 and role quest gating by an inconsequential NPC. Amaurot made the wait worth it, but it could've been a lot smoother.

What is going on with this?? I played through a dungeon on the PS4, did a couple missions, figured whatever server issue was going on was probably resolved, and went upstairs to log in on PC (which I prefer generally). Now there's a queue of nearly 4000 which seems loving unreal to me.

You’re 100 percent correct and even though blm is my main I refuse to take it into leveling roulette :V But also what’s exciting is that unlike previous expansions, what counts as perfect is a lot less rigid! So if you are aiming for that there’s more flexibility to deal with mechanics without sacrificing dps

It's my fault, guys, I looked at the Excal market board and saw that people were selling the 78 HQ crafted axe for something like eight times vendor NQ, got mad, remembered that World Visit is a thing, figured out how to do that, and then went and ransacked every other server on our datacenter for cheapo PLD swords to get my BSM desynth over the hump. I think I walked away with something like 50 of them from 15K to 20K apiece. (also got me a smashy hammer! Which I was in the process of taking screenshots using just before the servers went kablooey)

One interesting thing I noticed from the intro cutscene (which I watched on my laptop, even though I'm putting off playing until I come back from vacation and have my PC) is that it seems to be lip-synced to English, with the Japanese voice acting being very clearly unsynced. Kinda an interesting inversion of how those things usually go.

E: RDM rocks Question: What's the difference between the Armoire and the Glamour Dresser? Like, I've figured out how to use the Dresser to make Dress Up Sets, but what does the Armoire do? Items in there don't seem to be available to add to Glamour Plates.
