I always heard Shawn was a petty prick but the Kliq's antics always struck me as funny more than anything. Then I heard about how he made Davey lose in front of his (Davey's) dying sister so Shawn could win a belt he had no use for and didn't respect. I can't ever overlook that even if he is one of the best ever. On the flipside, I gained a ton of respect for Batista after listening to how he got fined $100,000 for blading. If that wasn't bad enough, Vince fined Jericho, Malenko and the ref $5,000 each even though the latter two knew nothing about it. Batista not only paid his fine but also all of theirs. I imagine f ive grand is a lot of money for a referee or a "normal" wrestler so Batista looking out for them is extremely cool.

Hasn't there been a history of punishing referees for incidents in which they had no prior knowledge? I know there were a bunch during that time they insisted on keeping the refs in the dark as to the finishes, then fined them when they didn't react correctly to what they didn't know was going on.
