Right now I'm betting that's one of the new classes in the next expansion. Lots of folks have been asking for it and healer bonuses are up most of the time atm. Pretty sure they could figure that out, like the reason they don't consume the potions they use is some advanced Sharlayan training, and somehow it only works for specific skills (like no infinite Ethers for BLMs)

We know the Crystal Exarch can't because reasons.(???)

We don't know if Ryne can or can't, she hasn't tried, though she has a lot of the same qualifying factors the Warrior of Light has.

I just assumed that it was a combination of the Crystal Exarch having a physical anchor on us (that knock off ironworks badge), us being the friggin WoL, and Hydaelyn intervening to stabilize the whole thing or something because she can't have her WoL just die from this kinda poo poo.

ok but he can also summon 7 other champions at the drop of a hat when we need to kick emet’s rear end so maybe he got better at it

On that note, i found it interesting that if you look at the first picture on the credits, with the iconic midlander wol, you get a 4 dps/2 heal/2 tank party, makes me wonder if they had considered trust trials as well.

Synthesis is literal magic, just run with that for Chemist. They're using significantly more aether to catalyze reactions faster and increase the efficacy of their mixtures, but the process is inherently unstable and produces potions with significantly less shelf life than the tried and true methods.

You can even do cutesy stuff like sharing skill names between Alchemist and Chemist.

It should be bound to whatever your Duty Action button is.

How it works is the Duty Action will be the stealth skill to begin with. After activating it, you have to avoid Ran'jit's attacks for a certain length of time until he opens himself up for attack, at which point the Duty Action will change to a gunblade action with a long cast time. You need to be fairly close to him to activate it.

Limit break is totally unaffected by the stats of whoever's using it, so damage boost and the like won't increase it.

It is common practice to delay Sonic Break and every second Gnashing Fang cast after the opener by 2 gcds not only to make it fit in No Mercy, but also to make it fit in trick.

Google leads me to believe you might be able to create one on certain worlds late at night or early in the morning.

You should remember that a character death, or lack of a character death, isn't a good or bad thing story wise by itself as long as it's serving the plot in a useful way. Character death just as a shock moment is always the weakest crutch of writing. This particular situation serves to both inform Y'shtola's character (who is ready to sacrifice herself for the blessed without any hesitation whatsoever) and Emet-Sechs' character (to continue shading him beyond Evil Ascian and demonstrating how much power he can throw around when he wants). Neither of those things require Y'shtola to actually die.

The Crystal Exarch can't return to the source because he's now physically linked to the Crystal Tower, which he mentions a few times when he's outside of the Lakeland zone. In order for him to return, he'd have to drag the entire tower with him, which presents an issue because the crystal tower is still in the source during our time, as he jumped both across worlds and backwards in time from the bad future. (Which now no longer exists)

As usual, I was completely wrong. Holy poo poo that run to the end, from the back half of the final zone through to the achievement message popping up in the chat window, was completely insane. In the best possible ways. If you didn't pick, and tear up a bit after picking, the "Fate can be cruel, but a smile better suits a hero." option, you're probably a bit of an awful person.

It's cool how AST cards don't give an arcana unless you're in combat, but healing your in-combat tank doesn't put you in combat.

And how because this game is seemingly built around lag as a feature, trying to Combust then immediately use a card still won't count you as in combat. Gotta deliberately wait at least a full second for it to work.

Other than that, new AST is a lot of fun. None of this matters in trials or raids, obviously, but couldn't they have done a little more dungeon testing..?

AST at that level is pretty miserable, unfortunately. Doesn't help that there's a lot of new tanks who aren't used to cycling cooldowns but are used to seeing tanks grab literally everything they can see into a death ball.

Strong. Seems to have remarkably good DPS for a tank. I find the Continuation mechanic really fun but a little tricky to work into your hotbars if you play only on keyboard.

Also utterly clowns other tanks if you're having a spat over aggro. Not that I have ever ever done this.

I haven't tried MCH but I slotted all my MCH buttons and it seems straightforward. I've leveled DRK from 30 to 54 so far and I'm loving it on a controller, but I also just like it a lot more in general.

I did MCH 70-80 on a controller and I think it works rather well. I don't feel much hotbar cramp at all. During Hypercharge at lower levels you'll need to push lots of buttons to not cap out Ricochet and Gauss charges.

I also have DRK on controller at 76. I feel more hotbar cramp here in order to have easy access to my defensive cooldowns. However, you don't have that many oGCDs so you're pushing fewer buttons overall.
