It's been established that Game Freak tends to view a lot of their features as one-off experiments that are to be abandoned before moving onto another new feature for the next game. Its only if the feature ends up being a true quality of life improvement, a large enough fan outcry or it happens to be vital for something's evolution (and not even then with the case of Feebas's evolution) that the feature ends up staying.

I think there are people here who don't actually like Pokémon and were just hanging on by a thread, and Sword and Shield, the coolest-looking Pokémon game to date, broke them and sent them over the edge. I don't know how so many players could have high expectations for Game Freak while simultaneously thinking they've been terrible for over a decade and expecting trash from them.

"Dexit bad and any one who is annoyed with this convo is a capitalist pig." Then someone finally changes the topic for half a page followed by "Dexit bad." I will literally take any other topic. Please give me a ten page argument about the best starter. I'm begging you.

LGPE is a nostalgic game to begin with so I have no shame, and unless you're playing online I think starter Pikachu is fine. I know that starter Eevee has better moves and coverage, but cute/nostalgia won out.
