Some jerks in our neighbourhood were setting off fireworks and our oldman dog Chicago was not feeling it. He tried to get into the bathroom area when my partner was in there and that is abnormal as usually he 1. does not like going into any bathroom and 2. is usually chill af when it is just the 3 of our. Anywho, he is him in better times when random explosions are not happening outside

Had to run some errands, so I Shanghaied Yoko into carrying the bags. We stopped by the pet shop and got her a special treat, which she also carried home.

Was walking Kedah and some rear end in a top hat in a truck swerved closer to the sidewalk and gunned his diesel to scare her, which happened. She jumped sideways and her hackles raised. Remind me again why im working so hard to train her to not get aggressive at people? She had such a hurt look on her face too. Poor pup.

He was effectively my therapy dog when I came home from AK, right after my deployment. All he wanted in the world was 2-3 walks a day, a human to snuggle with, and a duck toy that squeaked. Sleeping next to me:  Did someone say walk?!  Asleep on my legs under the blanket:  He was effectively raised a stray (as best we could tell). Poor dude had heartworms when my brother got him, and was really weak and pitiful. I got there and started walking him every day after his medicine was done and he got his strength back, then the dog treats at our favorite coffee shop probably helped a bunch too He could tell somehow if I went there without him, if I showed up with a drink from there and no treats he’d sit there and judge me before jumping up for more snuggles. My brother had to re-home this goodboi after we found out he doesn’t like young kids (same, dude) and he married a woman with 2, but it was with a guy that had pet-sat for him whenever I wasn’t available, so we knew the guy was pretty solid. He was a really good boy, and I still miss him almost every day (5 years later). That boydog was the one who got me through the roughest part of coming home (I ended up talking with a bunch of dudes in the Get Help thread around that same time, too). I can’t have a dog here (landlord’s rules), so I just go back and check out the pics I have saved every now and again

I was at a mountain biking event this weekend and one of the vendors has a Certified Super Cool Trail Dog. He has to wear doggles because he runs while his owner bikes and is so fast he needs them to protect his eyes from branches and sticks and such. This dog is cooler than I ever will be and probably better at handling tough trails at speed than me.  Also, Lando met his doggleganger tonight.
