For High Roller you have to have qualifying gear (Leviathan/Eater/Spire/Crown/Menagerie) in every weapon and armor slot. There, now you don't have to read the update.

If you run 4 super mods + hyper beam + Geo mags + Bad Juju in PvP you can have a sick shutdown build where you can fire off your super 6+ times a match. Perfect for obliterating someone with a roaming super and then shutting it off with 1/3 of the bar left.

It is a great gun but two things it suffers from. It has the same issue as vigilance wing in that its weapon model takes up nearly half the screen. It has paltry range, which makes it not great in PvP. Otherwise yeah it owns. Come to think of it I’m kind of surprised VW and BJ don’t have some cool lore about how they’re related like thorn and TLW.

Is the curated Bellowing Giant basically a better curated Bad Omens? Its stats are all higher except for reload/RoF, and for situations where that actually matters you're using rally barricade/lunafaction anyway.

Aggressive frame rls with cluster so significantly more damage than adaptive frame rls

All the weapons from the last raid and this raid are crappier than any weapon you can get from gambit or minagerie. And also “all the bars are better but the weapon is actually much less” is so peak destiny it hurts.

Other than that, though, it really is pretty dire. I miss my Genesis chain.

I think it’ll add some cool design space to the game and I really like the idea of using bits of your super to do stuff, turning it into more of a resource pool is a cool idea.

One round of PvP after more than half a year's break. A) I am still just terrible at PvP B) Quickplay is still full of roving bands of blade barrage hunters with Luna curbstomping the woefully undermatched other team. Good to see Bungie changed things up a bit while I was gone

I had fun playing Breakthrough on crucible last week, hadn't played it ever since I never play comp. It gave me memories of D1 crucible since I liked playing all of the different modes. Instead of just, you know, Clash and Control perpetually. Old hat obviously, but I feel it would be so much better if you could just pick what loving mode you wanted to play. Plus I feel all the crucible maps suck. Nothing gives that Rusted Lands feel.

First impression of the Thorn in pvp: I don't like that green blobs things, but the weapon kill stuff fast. The damage numbers that used to pop from enemies are almost gone and now have a weird animation so is much worse to track enemies. I believe the green effect is toned down, and tryiing to paint green a fallen dropship failed. All in all, with 2 mayor parts of the weapon nerfed, is still a fun weapon to use, and make me laugth evilishly every time that I kill somebody (:
