I can see racism making it harder to create a socialist state, but I would be pretty surprised to discover that socialist states didn’t have racism. do you mean that racism prevents the transition to socialism, or that racism arising within a socialist state would undo it?

I was much younger and still trying to understand what my political worldview was but it was the first time I independently thought “is this what conservatives think cause that’s the dumbest loving thing I’ve ever heard” One suggestion I’ve heard if you don’t want to give money is give things such as I’ve heard the #1 requested cloth g item at shelters is socks so go to TJ Max and buy a cheap 10 pack of socks and keep them in your car.
