There is probably a sweet overlap of people who have to much money, believe in tone paint and somehow still believe in brexit. Unlike whatever Gibson is doing, Martin at least seem to make business sense. It's still terrible though.

When my mom and dad were first married they lived in a trailer near Nazareth PA. Dad raided the Martin factory dumpster for rosewood scraps and put a rosewood parquet floor in their trailer.

To be fair, they managed to auction the Made-In-Mexico custom bass which he used to write most if not all of the self-titled record for 81k, and it's to help The Trevor Project, so... y'know, that's pretty rad.

Might be a similar system, but also Reverb is based in Chicago--it's part of Chicago Music Exchange--and literally right around the corner from my apartment. I wouldn't be surprised if it's just been making the dealer rounds in town and no one wants to shell out $7500 for it.
