Unoriginal Name posted:how do you feel about tax breaks I'm generally against them because centrist libs have gotten so enamored with them they think breaks are the only way to create any new type of incentive or aid. which is bad for two reasons 1. poor people don't pay any taxes so it leaves you no way to help them. not to mention the arc of tax breaks always bends toward disproportionately benefitting the rich 2. it's more noticeable and popular to just give people money. even if it's mathematically the same to give someone $100 and to subtract $100 from the amount they owe you, they will like you more for the first one

So I guess we're agreeing that degree requirements are bullshit and the fact that the guy who willfully misinterpreted that as anti-intellectualism is free and clear while people who treated him with scorn got probated is loving disgusting Sixers are a slap on the wrist but that dude didn't even get that and it's kinda hosed up that just straight up lying about people's arguments is considered good posting

One of the dumbest things about Numbers Fuckstein types is that they think that making poo poo more complicated for no reason is somehow a sign of smarts and intellectualism, when it's in fact the very opposite. Also having a college degree doesn't make you a goddamn intellectual, as the entire Beltway bubble lanyard corps amply demonstrates. Of course, the real reason why they start yelling about "anti-intellectualism" when you point out poo poo like this is that they know that they have no real arguments to defend their busted-rear end system, so they have to fall back on some dumbshit credentialism in lieu of actually demonstrating any real knowledge or reasoning.
