Charlie is very scruffy and itchy right now due to molting season, so whenever I scritch his head for him he giggles after (to be honest the giggling is really creepy but I get the sentiment he's going for). He does it really consistently, and I wanted to take a short video of it for my friend so I stopped scratching his head and started filming. I just moved to a new house, and figured I should get the finches a new house as well. Bought them this + some high cri lighting (the wallpaper in the finch room has got to go tho):  The construction seems clever and they seem very contempt! Slept together for the first time in like a month without fighting! They’ve been in a particularly murderous mood lately, and had to be separated at night to not harm each other. I’m pretty thrilled! Pippu is also enjoying his new living room spot :3

Just be careful with the roof, the little tabs break easier than they should if you put pressure on it.

Oh! I forgot that when I went to the bird store there were two baby green cheek conures and I took pictures of them as tribute to our friendly local bird mod!  and a video! They charmed me so much I'm actually considering going back for the little pineapple one, they were so gentle

Apparently, by doing that, it makes them People Food and delicious...and they will do ANYTHING <up to and including drawing blood> to get to it. However, once it's out of the fridge and in the bowls, its no longer Delicious Human Food, but Icky Bird Food and must be thrown out of the bowl and yelled at. Then, the routine is to yell at ME for daring to trick them by taking it out of the magic food box where the CHEESE is and changing it to Icky Bird Food.
