I think there’s a broader range of things you can do with mouse/keyboard but even though I’m a pc guy I like that most major games nowadays have preset controller patterns that mimic consoles bc controllers are good.

The console's mostly for my wife who doesn't feel like having to deal with a computer and I like the few local multiplayer games we play together. I was just stoked that i paid $1 for 3 years of free "rentals", when I was already subscribed to live gold for crazy cheap by just looking for deals and bookmarking the video games deals thread here on SA. But also, I'm a huge loving IDIOT who PAYS FOR THINGS

People can pay as much or as little as they want for their computers, but let's stop acting like it's that hard to wrap our heads around console players paying a small yearly fee to play online, amongst many other things the services offer. Whenever console players try to criticize PC gaming they either exaggerate the hell out of how much money you have to spend or they say something that reveals that they haven't actually paid any attention to PC gaming in like 20 years. Yes but gigabit wifi might be a requirement. I went back to having a desktop PC after college since I no longer needed the portability of a laptop. It's a very convenient all in one for movies, music, games, internet browsing, and Something Awful poo poo posting. Hell, I just gave up and opened a Steam account because if I gotta download new video games to play them I might as well do it on the PC I have versus buying a dedicated console for it.
