If so, I would be absolutely shocked that whoever loaned you for the condo would do this, because the risk-factors of you not being able to pay is skyrocketing due to this.

I think so too but our effort to document everything is tough because we used a public adjuster (PA) to represent us in our fight. That seemed like a good move back before we won relocation. So it was on them to document everything, they'd need to be heavily involved if we sue, and they just... don't seem interested* unless they get subpoena'd. Sure, the amount they shorted us is maybe as low as 10k. But come on, we can ask for more. It seems like something above could add up to enough for a lawyer to care, but unless our PA is behind it seems so risky, and such a big waste of time to try to make the case to other lawyers one by one if they're each just likely to say no. We can't pay a lawyer and most that I've dealt with in the past are not interested in doing anything on commission. Am I wrong to give up so easily? We're just trying our best to deal with it out of pocket and move on, if we can, unless we're wrong about that. Sorry again for the derail, just trying to get a little reassurance and an infusion of happy from y'all, and posting the tweet in the hopes that their public relations people watch twitter and the company at least catches some shame for this. If you show up with documentation and keep calling their secretaries with it you'll start to get seen as a problem to be solved, and it's often easier and cheaper to pay off claimants than crush them.

Ilhan is an amazing person in general. I can't imagine how much discrimination and prejudice she has faced for just being herself and all of the pressure being placed on her on a daily basis since her election, but she truly cares about everyone. Her ability to remain consistently strong and on-message against that is pretty powerful.

I still agree. going home and seeing people are happy and love you is great but she slogged through death threats and the like as well before she was elected. She’s a very strong lady and it can’t be easy. But I guess growing up as she did kind of turns down the volume on the racist poo poo we can manage to pile onto a person. And if she can make it out of her childhood and still have faith in humanity, I can’t imagine anything would break it.

I can't find it anymore but there was a story in the Minnesota press about Omar getting beaten up in a fight that broke out at (iirc) a campaign event for a Dem they were trying to primary. Much like "AOC the bartender", chuds just assume she showed up to Congress one day all starry-eyed and with zero credentials, and they do it at their own peril.
