That tent looks very similar to some of the extremely expensive cottage ones out there. I'm tempted. How do you stop the pole from chewing through the floor/roof depending on orientation? Stick a stopper on it or something? Does the little light come with or is that for demonstration only?

The Ti stuff on Ali is indeed great. The markup on snowpeak and the other brands is crazy and Ti is Ti. There's a few stores that list steel or aluminium as Ti but it's easy to spot.

The tip of the pole is on bare ground in the vestibule. The peak has a sturdier layer of silnylon reinforcing where the handle end of the pole goes. Shorter trekking poles won’t do though since it needs like 140cm to get a good, tight pitch. I made a 15cm extension from some left over alu tube to mine and it works alright when the ropes are tightened. You can easily pitch both the inner and outer at the same time if you have packed away the tent so that they are still attached.

Some of the illustrations on the store pages can be confusing since they display how the pole is used when only the inner tent is used. Then the pole goes the other way around since there’s a loop up top where the tip of the pole is inserted. Normally the pole goes tip down.

There doesn’t seem to be any obvious weak points besides the floor maybe which you may want to reinforce with a separate footprint. Nothing out of the ordinary when compared to other silnylon lightweights though. I’ll just go without one myself to save weight and try to be careful with where I pitch the tent. There’s no manual so some youtube and common sense is required on the first pitch.

The light isn’t included.

What if you wanted to wear Victorian lace ruffles about your neck and wrists, but didn't want to commit to a lacy blouse?

You can do it. Believe in yourself.
Source? Medieval. Sounds legit, get one set in each color.

(I'm thinking of getting some, but not from this retailer - not the best price!)

I mean I don't have a problem with the CamiSecret(TM) but then I'm a man who wears a white crewneck undershirt to work every day beneath my button-down because I think it's kind of rude to expose my chest hair at people and also it gives me a good hour extra on pit-stain prevention.

From what I understand of camisoles you can't really tuck them in, so I guess this is an easy compromise. From what I know of bras, the CamiSecret(TM) will be washed far less frequently than optimal.

i'm lookin for a 3-piece cutlery set for my TACTICAL DAILY CARRY LOADOUT (i.e. i keep forgetting cutlery when i bring my lunch to work so at this point it just needs to stay in my bag because nothing else is working)

so, anybody got any endorsements for sth that balances usability and compactness? a lot of the camping/outdoors ones seem really small or else aren't super practical for daily use b/c they fold or collapse down or whatever. ideally single-piece cutlery that's got decent ergonomics in use but is still made with an eye to storing flat, has some sort of carrying case with a sufficiently-thoughtful design that it'll stop the fork from skewering random poo poo in my bag, that sort of thing. a titanium set seems up my alley but that's paying a premium for a slight weight savings, which i dont really care about vs. the form-factor

I recently got some synthetic mesh bags for cold brew/sun tea, and they work great for that-but even better as reusable bakery/produce bags (instead of the filmy plastic bags at the store).

Mine came from eBay, initially, but AE appears to have an even better selection of sizes and shapes. Plus you get to enter “nut milk bag” in as the search term!

I got a half dozen and threw them in my reusable shopping bags.

I'm looking for a bento box, it cant be pinku (that's Japanese for pink) or any girl color. It has to be of 2 or more kotoba (that's Japanese for 2 compartments) and has be be chibi (small) sized. And has to be really kawaii (cute). Also It has to be about 10-20 bux. And you have to post pics of it first (i want to make shure it's kawaii [cute]). And it would be nice if it came with matching chopstick holder (WITH chopsticks). OH! and it CANNOT have any cartoon pictures, or be made out of plastic. It has to be made of ceramic, or something like that. Also it would be nice if it was made in japan. and not in china or corea (Korea) or whatever. I have found a bento box similar to the one im describing in e-bay, but it was 1 kotoba, and i don't want my gohan (rice) to touch my other things (it can get wet and i would not like that, plus 2 compartments looks more kawaii)
