One of the things I do at work when bored is make up koth episodes that would fit with modern times. Like Peggy being way into Sarah Palin, or Hank coming to terms with having to buy a tv not made in America (, he buys Samsung because they were American Allies) and most recently Dale reazling that Qanon people are crazy and pathetic. Though this is after Hank gets into it with a local republican that was a straight up Nazi.

there was an episode of KOTH where Dale felt like he was losing himself so he went to a meetup of JFK conspiracy theorists and ran away when all of the other people were way crazier than he was.

Peggy would have HATED Sarah Palin. The rest of your fanfics would hold up and or have been somewhat already done in some capacity. Like when they first meet Kahn and he's using mesquite to grill instead of propane and the meat turns out delicious. Or when Hank meets his long lost half Japanese brother in Japan who happens to be a robotics engineer. Trying to bond with him over the idea of a propane powered robots.

I was thinking she would love Palin, then when she met her, they were so similar they'd get into a huge fight.

That's a Gribble of an idea!

I legit cannot remember any other attempts before KOTH to recapture the Simpsons other than the Critic, Fish Police and Family Dog.

Palin believed in herself in spite of all evidence to the contrary. Which is Peggy's thing so of course she would hate her. Shooting moose from a plane? And here I am selling books for guns to idiot rednecks.

I, personally, want to see what would happen if Peggy Hill met Linda Belcher. They've both got the same kind of can-do attitude where they act and don't fully think of the consequences, but Linda's definitely more of a free spirit and lacks some of Peggy's mean-spiritedness that crops up from time to time.

My point is that I loved Koth. I watched alot of it...

Yeah, I've seen more than a couple internet posts/tweets about how Hank would ahve voted for Trump beause he's a dyed-in-the-wool Republican, and clearly whoever is making these posts/tweets has never watched the show.

For God's sake, he almost didn't vote at all because Dubya had a weak handshake...you think he'd, even for a hot minute, consider voting for a NYC "billionaire", who is a serial philanderer, on his third wife, no morals, etc...?

He'd probably end up writing in Tom Landry, or something.

Bill would totally be MAGAchudded.

IN my head fan season, Hank liked Obama. Mostly because it would be funny to hear Hank say "Barack Obama", but Hank would probably respect he was a moral family man, actually worked for a living, and would respect he was a laywer about the Constitution, the greatest document ever written, and there for not some ambulance chasing huckster.

But Yea Dale is the 90s Conspiracy theorist who was worried about Russian UN Black Helicopters and aliens and such. When that kind of behavior got people labled crazy and confined to late night radio, at best Coast to Coast. Now it makes you President.

That really doesn't need much elaboration because look at it, but it's the art from a pretty alright Genesis/Mega Drive 1992 platformer called Kid Chameleon. It was quite elaborate for its day, with a lot of secret paths and levels. Kid Chameleon there in his bitchin' leather jacket could find masks to transform into all the various 90s Cool things around him, each with different skills.

Len was technically part of the Halifax Nova Scotia scene that produced Sloan and a few other bands like that. They started with the vague incest thing early.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q1EUfNFL8vk

I went to University with their DJ, charmingly named Drunk Ness Monster. He basically was high as poo poo all the time and banged all the Japanese exchange students.

BTW speaking of very Canadian and 90s, Spirit of the Wests Home For a Rest was basically every college bars closer

Base is Base Funkmobile (This was also the introduction to the concept of a lame band having a funky black guy in it to rap for a verse for me)

Tragically Hip Nautical Disaster
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e8Fi46BFAF0
Note I never actually like the Hip very much, but this and Ahead by a Century have this lyrical beauty i cannot deny. I think any Canadian over a certain age cannot hate the Hip completely. There was a time where they were basically all you heard, up to the point the DJ on the modern rock station I'd listen to said during the request hour "Okay, I'm not playing any Hip requests again, I don't care, you can listen to the rest of this station to hear them. Or maybe buy their albums? That might be more helpful!"
