If Lysithea isn't an offensive monster then something has gone very, VERY wrong in terms of RNG. She's super min-maxed, with base Mag/Dex/Spd growths of 60/60/50. The problem is that all her other growths are literal dumpster fire levels of bad (seriously, she's got 25 Res/Cha growth, 20 HP, 15 Str/Lk and 10! Def) so don't let her get hit by anything - including other mages.

She's probably the character that most consistently benefits from "pity" base stats for classes.

edit: Side note - All the Intermediate/Advanced pure magic classes also have -5 Def for their growths. So, uh, good luck hitting that 5% Def growth once she gets to that point. Hell, trying to get her into (and master) Cavalier at some point doesn't seem the worst idea in order to pick up Desperation.

I was honestly considering slamming Lysithea into Hero/Mercenary just to get the pity strength/defense boosts to make it easier for her to double people and not die. Thoughts?

Also it doesn't seem terribly worthwhile to stick around in the beginner classes long enough to master them for a measly +2 stat ability you probably won't have room for long term.

there's no best order except that black eagles are the one with the biggest split, so i wouldn't recommend saving them for last because then you'll do them twice in a row

you could do eagles > lions or deer > the other one of those two > eagles again or you could do lions > eagles > deer > eagles again

byleth's boringness is kind of amusing and at least they just fully commit to them primarily being a vector for the player to engage with the cast. this is prefersable to corrin, who was too much of a character to fully work in that role but was still insanely dull, and every character had to constantly praise them, but since they were sort of an actual character it just led to the characters and plot awkwardly contorting around them, rather than byleth mostly allowing the other characters to just exist, because they don't have enough of a defined personality to really inflict themselves on the plot.

part of this is just the writing in this game being way better so byleth is handled better as a self-insert, but still.

I lost to you once, monster. I shall not lose again! Die now, that our future can live!
I took down the bonus boss in Chapter 4! Here's how I did it:

These are the Death Knight's stats. He can counterattack from anywhere, is sitting on an obnoxious +40 Avoid tile, has 15 AS, and gets a powerful weapon with a high crit rate. He doesn't move at first, but if you ever attack him, he will activate on enemy phase and use his 8 Movement to kill someone.

For my strategy, I wanted a Lord, who provides +3 damage to adjacent allies with the Charm skill; a strong bow unit who could attempt to get chip damage from the other avoid tiles; Byleth; and a powerful Lance user with C Lances.

Since I'm playing Golden Deer, Claude was my Lord and my bowman in one, while Leonie was my best lancer. Leonie works particularly well because she gets +2 damage from being adjacent to men, and my Lord is male, so she gets +5 when she's next to him. By this point, I had also raised Byleth to level 10 and promoted him to Mercenary.

Other characters chipped in too. Hilda's personal skill gives a damage boost to men:

And I got Ignatz up to D Authority earlier, which unlocks Rally Speed for him. That let him rally Claude, pushing Claude's AS high enough that the DK couldn't double him.

If I hadn't rallied, I would have to pray for at least one miss and no crits. But now, Claude only has to avoid the crit. You might have noticed Petra over on the other side of the boss; she's there just to provide support bonuses, giving a small boost to my hit rates.

Now my Lord is on a diagonal from the boss. Anyone adjacent to him will get +3 damage, so in particular the squares above him and to his right get the boost. Before I exploit that, I move Hilda up. I need to block the mage in the north, or else that mage and the one to the west would both be able to attack a single unit. That would be bad news because the Death Knight cripples anyone who attacks him.

Byleth moves in. He also needs to avoid a crit, but his Speed is naturally high enough that he doesn't get doubled when using a light enough Sword. If it weren't that high, I would have to use a Gambit from Jeralt's Mercenaries for chip damage instead (with a much worse hit rate), and my other attackers would have to use Steel weapons, which have worse Hit and would weigh them down.

Lastly, Leonie finishes things with Knightkneeler.

She gets a nice reward for her efforts.

We're not out of the woods yet! Since Claude didn't dodge, he's so weak that the western mage will one-shot him.

But Marianne is here to save the day with Physic.

So the three mages around the Death Knight move in, but everyone lives, and we're ready to take on the rest of the map.

There should be an option that says 'gifts' and 'lost tiems' when you talk to peopel in the monastery. if it isn't there, just keep playign the game until it is.

it lowers your speed directly. speed determines dodge chance and whether or not you get doubled.

WT is Weight, which slows you down. You take your speed stat, and then subtract the weight from equipment, and that's Attack Speed, which is what gets checked for double attacks. Your strength stat mitigates weight, and there are skills that do it too (I don't know exactly what they are)

It'll come up as quests in exploration. I believe lost items won't even spawn until you're assigned the appropriate quest.

Lost items spawn as soon as the quest for it (with Jeralt) is available. I found like 7 of them on the way to Jeralt to learn how to give people lost items. It was very silly

no i didnt maen anything about options i meant that black eagles have a big route split while the other routes have more subtle options, so if you wanna do 'every route' eagles are the ones youll ahve do twice, so dont do them last or else you'll do them twice in a row, because you'll want to do them twice. that i what i meant.
