I'm at the point now where given the amount of hockey I watch, the remaining defencemen available are either absolute disasters who i've heard of (ability and/or contract), or defensive/low impact guys I haven't whose names probably get mentioned 3 times in a whole game "XX chips it out along the boards". Picking I hope from the latter.

Kulak had some awfully high Corsi ratings last season, assume he was sheltered, but stepped up TOI wise, so hopefully it wasn't all a fluke.

55/45 O-zone vs D...which is significant but not horrific. Kulak took a step forward last year in terms of overall contributions and 16 of 17 points 5v5 is a good place to be. At 25 though it's hard to say how much further he can progress.
