I guess I don't buy that it makes him an evil liar though. its stuff like "we need to ban weapons of war, like the ones i carried when i served" which is where the evilness comes from he's piggybacking on the deaths of children to point out that he was technically in the military, then using that to argue an assault weapons ban that's a giant waste of time and energy, just because it's popular those are deliberate acts. he's said the thing about the weapon he carried not being available on the streets multiple times, and it's grosser every time he does if he gave a poo poo about substantially reducing gun violence, he'd be looking at the economic/social factors that drive people to the majority of gun crime

One bought a house after it had been marked for demolition and had a difficult time dealing with the city bureaucracy to preserve it, and the other had intentions of being a landlord for nine properties but couldn’t afford to make the renovations when a family member fell ill and medical bills ate up their renovations budget. Which is to say, both victims in this event were facing problems either directly created by capitalism or were capitalism-adjacent. That one lady’s story could be spun positively into a “never again” thing if Pete only supported real Medicare For All instead of Medicare For Those Who Can Afford To Buy In. There’s a couple other events like this that can be basically chalked up to bad optics, but the real problem with Pete’s candidacy is his going to bat for racist cops. (Are they racist? She's right, but comes off as evasive and weak when Chris tries to pin her down. Warren was at her best last night when she was asked a question and got full time to answer. I thought she looked terrible when she was in "15 second rebuttal" situations. She can't keep her points short and keeps getting cut off and is stuck saying "this is important!" as we cut away from her.
