The company is out of business. Its the bank's mine and excavator now; the ownership probably don't even live in the state (or if they do, they live in Louisville or Lexington which is quite a drive for construction equipment)

This shooting hit me harder than they usually do. Earlier today, a woman in a burka was leaving Walmart, and a white dude in a Trump hat was following her. I knew that he was probably just parked near her, but I felt the need to make sure she got in her car unfucked with. I felt shame that I felt that I needed to do that. Then I come home, and see the news. Just gently caress. On the Bellingcat article- the gamification of mass shooting has been a common thread among all active shooters. I think the issue is that now the poo poo is centralized, in an echo chamber where the idiots are so broke brained they don't realize their 'ironic' humor is no longer ironic, but the platform of their life.

The NRA is a bunch of culture war ghouls and should be guillotined with the rest of them, but responding to a rash of actual White Nationalist Terror Attacks by calling for the disarmament of the poor and disadvantaged is a hell of a take. These terrorists are never going to disarm, they won’t be forced to disarm by the cops that support them, and they’ll just get more emboldened. And if they can’t get their hands on guns somehow they’ll start lighting people on fire like the anime nerd or use bombs like the guy who sent all those packages to Democrats last year or the guy who sent bombs to prominent black rights activists in Texas and killed a few last year or their hero Timothy McVeigh. Radical right wing terrorists and their enablers need to be systematically dismantled but instead we have the FBI handwringing over the DSA and politicians continually dehumanizing minorities.
