I've had a blast coming back to this game after playing a bit last year, now that I have a better handle on the mechanics, but man... There's an awfully weird correlation between advancing the star chart with "complete a spy mission with all 3 data captures" and my sudden disinterest in the game

I went from hating spy missions to just avoiding them for a really long time because I had no reason to do them, to somehow slowly and inadvertently building up the knowledge / execution to do them really quickly (probably due to sorties) and now I find it one of the most fun modes in the game. I still get a reminder of how much it used to suck every time I try one of the new Jupiter maps, though.

I'm not sure I'd call him a great graphics programmer like Glen, but he's good. ... it's him doing design and especially balancing that may be a problem.
