It certainly is a movie from a time when an armed assault on a school was a Hollywood fantasy and not a common occurrence. Not trying to be a buzzkill, it's a solid early-90's action flick, just hasn't aged particularly well.

I rewatched it a few years ago and enjoyed it but the ending shot of all the kids streaming away from the school after the final shoot-out was disturbingly similar to news footage of kids being led away from actual mass shootings and was really jarring.
