By all means, please give me your recommendations. https://www.nakedcapitalism.com/ has a daily link roundup each morning and, most of the time, an afternoon update. since those posts aggregate links, you'll get a smattering of stuff from mainstream, center/center-left publications like the ones you've mentioned, as well as links to more leftist sources. because there's little money to be made in publishing a leftist daily--either in advertising or subscriptions--the closest you'll get to one will be an amalgam of links from a variety of sources ranging from the business press, to mainstream center-left publications, to full on leftist sources. the naked capitalism daily link posts are the closest thing you'll get to that amalgam without, say, curating an RSS feed edit: didn't realize someone else linked nakedcapitalism as well, but i'm gonna leave this up as a further endorsement of the site double edit: i don't read enough D&D to know whether PT6A is asking this stuff in good faith, but i'm responding as if that's the case because there might be lurkers with these same questions/concerns as well. anyways. when someone's asks a question, in earnest, like "why aren't they covering when candidate x says y" and mentions some stuff about media bias but doesn't seem to have fully worked out theory of why and how media bias operates, i always recommend looking into books of media criticism. especially ones that focus on background, structural factors that give arise to these individual instances of bias. manufacturing consent by herman and chomsky is the classic of this genre--and for good reason. but i bet you could pick up most books that google/amazon/goodreads/whatever pull up when you look into leftist media criticism, corporate consoldiation of media, etc. and still not have to ask the kinds of questions PT6A is asking (because the book will have answered them). PT6A posted:My question is, I suppose, where are the reports of Bernie opening up a can of Brooklyn whoopass on concentration camps and gun fetishists and all the other great ills of current American society? The even bigger issue than this, that will end up being a problem even if you became aware and acknowledged that he talks about this stuff, is that you seem to have basically let the mask slip as far as thinking that material concerns are some sort of trivial or eye-roll-worthy thing. It basically confirmed what's always been obvious about the "people who think of themselves as progressives but don't like Sanders" subset of Democrats; their perspective is only possible if they just don't really care much about peoples' material needs (or are profoundly low-info, though I don't think this excuse applies to most people who post in D&D). Unsurprisingly, this viewpoint is almost always found in people who are fairly well-off themselves, and it's caused by either self-interest or mainstream media avoiding promoting views that threaten the interests of the wealthy (or both). Stuff like gun violence is super high priority for them because it's something they can imagine in the context of their own lives, but poverty and related issues (like healthcare or housing) are just treated as "yeah those things matter but...." issues because they're not something the person has a context for understanding. A good analogy is the way that many on the left (and nearly all on the center-left) de-prioritize foreign policy/US imperialism as an issue because it's distant to them, despite it affecting at least as many people as domestic policy. While it's only natural to be more emotionally affected by issues close to you personally, that's not an excuse for not taking an honest look at the actual impacts of the issues in question and supporting the policies and candidates who would best address them.

A new poll from Oklahoma has Bernie in fifth. https://twitter.com/AndrewSolender/status/1160920459732500481 I'd be interested to hear again from Bernie's pollster/camp if they still think that Bernie could make a serious play here: https://www.politico.com/story/2019/02/19/bernie-sanders-campaign-2020-1173608 quote:They’re not just talking about West Virginia. Some in the Sanders camp envision possibly making a play for Iowa, Ohio, and Indiana, as well as states such as Kansas, North and South Dakota, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Montana — six states that, together, have voted for the Democratic nominee just twice in the past half-century.
