I really enjoy the fact that the front page of the comic still advertises itself as PG-13 like at this point I'd be very disappointed if it ever got changed to the hard-R it really merits

I don't typically check Cope's ask feed but apparently she mentioned Claggart forever ago and he and Duane end up becoming good buddies and pen pals after this. I think he also helped Lemuel get into the vliegeng corp? I haven't read it myself, just heard about it elsewhere. EDIT: Searched "Claggart" in the feed and didn't find anything. Maybe apocryphal? Yeah, reading through the feed, I was "Reminded" that Claggart's actually working class, which sometimes slips my mind when he's being an authority figure. The Jets live longer lives than most so I imagine it's easy to write them off for that, but if you're a military man a longer life is just a more generous span of time during which getting shot is an occupational hazard.
