Even in the event of no deal, everyone is now positioning themselves in a way where blaming Labour will ring completely hollow. Turns out Corbyn is in fact, fuckin good at this poo poo. However I do still think that in terms of his priorities utterly destroying the Tories ranks above stopping Brexit, especially if there is a way to get a softer Brexit. Hearty lol at at the Lib Dems. Swinson is so awful, I bet a big part of her resistance to Corbyn's plan is fear of losing her seat if there's an election haha.

She's even going about that the wrong way! Her seat is big remain, in line with most of Scotland. If she's seen as not blocking no deal when the SNP have done everything they can, then she loses one of the two things going for her, leaving her with just "Not the SNP"

Ratjaculation posted:yes, but why is putting ourselves on a countdown to financial disaster a good base for negotiating with no plan what so ever? It would have passed overwhelmingly anyway, and Labour's pitch was always "we're not standing in the way, but we'll only support it if you can deliver what was promised". It put them in a better position to criticise what was happening in good faith, and convince people that the tories were leading us to disaster, instead of just being anti from the beginning I always point out that the PLP was pretty divided over this, and Corbyn was absolutely not in a position to order his mutinous crew around - and yet they still pretty much all fell in line for this vote. There had to be some strategy talk that convinced all the Remain MPs that this was their best shot (Chuka voted for it lol)
