I never would have played this game but my PC video card died on me and I didn't have a Switch for Three Houses, so I got P5 on sale off playstation digital. Here I am 45 hours later about to send the desert palace calling card. Game's got style. I'm glad I didn't know about the upcoming rerelease or I would have waited for that and probably never played it. I was all about Final Fantasy jrpgs and never got around to SMT or Persona until now. Morgana is the best except when he's playing fun police. Which I'm fine with except that one night when he was gone I couldn't either go look for him or celebrate being free by staying up til 3am watching my overdue video rental. All I could do was go to bed. When Morgana isn't onscreen saying go the gently caress to bed, all the other chars should be saying where's Morgana, we should go the gently caress to bed. "Hey Joker let's hang out today?" "Ok sure, let's hang out." "WHAT?? But we've got to go to the palace, we're on a deadline. I sure hope this is part of your master plan for victory..." Actually it is, thank you, we need to get you baton pass already damnit. Fishing with Ryuji and Master Fisherman Kawakami, that's MS. Kawakami to you was great as is every scene where you pick a funny option and everyone gets 3 music notes. This game should have a version that's just going to school and hanging out with your buds. The palaces are great though too, I need to find the soundtrack for the desert palace now that its going away. I was bummed there weren't more depressing egyptian tile puzzles to do, but I haven't done the boss fight yet so there's still hope. I don't know who to waifu but judging by confidant progress I'm pretty sure I'm taking the old politician to prom.

Eh he's a cool cat bro when you're out and about fighting. He's impressed by everything you do and when you get him killed he ducks behind a nearby pillar to support you (does this actually do anything though?) instead of taking a nap on the floor like the other slackers. He also turns into a van sometimes, without that you'd have to ride on the motorcycle with Makoto while everyone else ran behind trying to keep up and okay that would be better.

I am usually ambivalent towards the mascot character but Morgana is a special case Maybe it's because he is a cat, and I wish there were more opportunities in-game to cuddle with him when he is in realistic cat form

His support is doing the callouts and weakness charts, so he's kinda doing something when he's hiding.

He wills himself to stay conscious no matter what in battle to guide the team. It isn’t until Futaba joins and provides a navigator that is untouchable that he feels relieved enough to allow himself to stay down. You gotta respect that in a mascot/(temporary) mentor.

My friend who played through twice hadn't seen that scene either. I told him Ryuji called me up the night before and said hey tomorrow is sunday, nothing going on (besides the country threatening recent plot developments) let's go fishing, I said sure and the new spot opened up. Now I can invite people there for hangout dates I guess. Anyway my friend said no wonder he didn't find it, he always rejected poor Ryuji. I had no idea about the fishing or the shrine until watching a playthrough of the game later. I never unlocked either of them. I didn't unlock either of them the second time either when I was new game+ing it and getting everyone's ranks to max

It's a mini game, you can fish and trade them for prizes, it's no big deal though.

The flower shop job will say something like a customer wants large bright flowers then you pick three from a list and get a bonus if right. The beef bowl 3 people say their order then you have to respond to the cats prompts and get them right for a small bonus. And Kick above says you can fish and turn them in for prizes.

No JRPG maker with even a tenth of a brain is going to try to compete with Square Enix on that. At least a month's buffer zone seems like an obvious move. It would be great if they spent the additional time working on the localisation, some of the language in P5 is head-scratchingly bad, in a way P3 and P4G weren’t.

Playing the game, enjoying the game Accidentally get the bad ending because ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I dunno it seemed like the correct choice, whatever, no big deal, just gotta load up my last save which was uhhhh right before stealing Shido’s treasure, six hours ago. Cool. So I guess now I drop the difficulty to easy and just loving ram my way through the game and if I skip cutscenes and dialogue maybe I can do it in 3

The options were like “Bring back the phantom thieves and reset things” or “yeah nah gently caress it” and option A seemed like the one that would give you a second chance at doing the thing ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

There are two very obvious spots in the game where you can choose the obviously right answer (don't rat out your friends to the cops, don't sell your soul to basically the devil) and there's really no way you can accidentally choose the bad ending in either scenario. Still, how on earth do you go from before stealing Shido's treasure all the way to the point where you can choose the bad ending and not save once?? That doesn't make any sense. Do you just like living on the edge?
