I drove the coquihalla highway over the coastal mountains and it was pretty but also kinda scary. I'd rather a flat boring drive than an interesting but terrifying drive. Apparently its one of the deadliest highways in the country.

When I drove the Oregon/norcal coastal highway I came pretty close to killing myself because the views are amazing but it's a smallish road that's on cliffs for much of its length.

I was just driving way too fast down the Coquihalla the other week, in the summer it's a breeze. It's amusing that it's regarded as pretty when people here just see it as the grey rocky hell you have to get through to get to the nice driving along the Thompson river on the other side.
