That's why a lot of Memphis regulars hated Jarrett but it was somewhat common for those who didn't work there to act like Memphis wrestlers couldn't work and would just brawl and bleed.

Someone tell Chris Regal's TNAilures what the secondary market is.
|
# ? Aug 24, 2019 01:54 |
|
Do they... do they think that if the tickets on the secondary market don't sell then the people who bought them originally get their money back or something?
|
# ? Aug 24, 2019 02:14 |

To be fair, if the demand stays that low, the scalpers are going to catch on eventually.

# ? Aug 24, 2019 02:16 |

Good, then people who actually wanted to go to the show can get the tickets for themselves!

Memphis TV show was really straight forward in presenting itself as a TV show. This wasn't a taped wrestling show in a studio but rather a TV show with a set format announced at the beginning of each show. Time had been set aside for interviews, individual matches, etc. Often times guys gently caress up the format as guy will interrupt something that had been set aside for something else. Lance Russell is stuck in position of put-upon Kermit the Frog trying to run a smooth TV show if it wasn't for these crazy Muppetts. I love Memphis more than most and Dave can be an absolute idiot on Twitter, but he's not remotely in the wrong here and Dutch is being deliberately obtuse.

This is a really popular meme among the anti-AEW crowd. None of the shows are "real" sell-outs because you can find tickets on the secondary market. Of course, if we apply this same approach to WWE and Impact Wrestling shows, something very interesting happens.

So after one of his matches at the Super J Cup, El Phantasmo called Will Ospreay 'the autistic assassin'. Suffice it to say, most folks were pissed off at him for that (because there's a difference between good heel work and being an ableist rear end in a top hat) but of course: https://twitter.com/millipedeman24/status/1165913016011018241?s=09 https://twitter.com/millipedeman24/status/1165914080655433728?s=09 https://twitter.com/millipedeman24/status/1165938482247798784?s=09 Twitter was a mistake
