"The Night Gwen Stacy Died" coming up in Newspaper Spider-Man is really jarring somehow. Like, this is the comic where they almost left JJJ to die in the swamp to keep their secrets and it was treated as wacky fun.

Well, it is 2015. The Amazing Spider-Man 2 came out the previous May, so perhaps there's a bit more awareness of Gwen Stacy amongst the strip readers than the baseline.
