Get in the bin.

If we're doing anti-fash metal, I'm very on board with Gaylord's ENBY BLACK METAL ASSULT, and songs about mocking and/or killing (usually both) Nazis is very much their thing:

So in her mind Parliament passes a law delaying Brexit, and then presumably for a second referendum, and Johnson is perfectly happy being the PM who presides over all of that happening.

Her supporters are loving idiots if they think they can force Johnson to be the PM who ran a second referendum, when he could just call an election at any time.

I mean technically they can force him to be PM, Bojo can't just call a general election. He'd have to get a vote through for that, and Labour could just say no. Not that they would.

Ayat are a quite interesting band from a majority Muslim country but considering one of their tunes is subtitled All Hail Allah The Swine I'm not sure they're from the Muslim community. There's Akvan who is a one man band (as is so normal in black metal, fits the misanthropy I guess) who lives in Iran (though I think he was born in the US to parents who'd fled after the revolution). Violet Cold is another one man project from Baku, Azerbaijan. There's some good stuff anyway.

I think that was the plan. But suppose we stay - the Tories can then fight the next election promising to invoke Article 50 immediately and leave on the dot 2 years later, and they'd win easily, I think, if the Brexit Party stood down, since that is a lot more likely than the LibDems standing down. A Labour withdrawal really is the best we can hope for now, I'm afraid.

Would the BXP stand down, though? The BXP is Farage, and Farage would be just as content raking in racist cash to support the constant struggle to Brexit as he would be actually doing it. I think they'd be as or more ready to spin the "only we can be trusted to deliver" line.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/First_Statute_of_Repeal

'The First Statute of Repeal was an Act of the Parliament of England (1 Mary, st. 2, c. 2), passed in 1553 in the first Parliament of Mary I of England's reign, nullified all religious legislation passed under the previous monarch'

1660 was an exception because the Republic was specifically viewed as illegitimate by Charles II (big surprise). That isn't true elsewhere in history. I think we can deal without whatever changes have recently been made to the governance of the Church of England, no?

He’s still fond of using colourful language to convey a message, but he seems to have decided gags are not very prime ministerial.

Sssssssure, but they still tend to go together more often than not. Compassion is a very generalisable thing. Obviously it's not a flawless rubric, but it does the job for separating metal bands into fash/non-fash buckets because I'm too lazy to Google further.

You can find something nice to say about anyone and "only talk about the nice things" is a strategy often deployed to try to redeem lovely people. See the recently deceased Koch Bro and how totally pro-LGBT he was. "Hitler loved dogs" is counter to that as it demonstrates that a single virtue does not outweigh a mountain of vice.

Well, for me, the whole point is that it might actually be a pretty bad metric. Like, do you know it does the job, or have you just decided that being pro-environment is non-fash without evidence? You don't even have to use compassion as your motivator, an environmentalist tendency might just as well be driven by a reactionary hatred of progress, and you wanting a nice natural world you can escape into to get away from all these awful degenerates.

Yeah. Even if the compassion shown is real, it's precisely the fact that compassion can be compartmentalized that makes it impossible to judge someone's character based on them having compassion for one group. Hitler loved animals, but would've killed the vast majority of the world if he could do it at a snap of his finger. Hell, the two aren't even opposing impulses, if the value of the natural world is partly that it's not full of all the wrong people.
