Same, though I'm sure you've seen how inexpensive it can be to fit out the interior of a regular cargo van to have a pretty comfortable home away from home. Good luck

Just took a 2 hour nap. I feel like death. I'm just trying to waste time indefinitely towards no particular goal.

I can't do any one particular thing for more than 20 minutes before slowly shuffling to some other distraction (slowly to maximum time spent on the transition).

A lot has happened in the last 3 months that was supposed to be good and help me, but it didn't. Now I'm faced with the spectre of the coming winter and oh boy I don't know if I'm going to survive another one of those.

Do you have a laptop? You could try working from different locales, e.g. coffee shops, libraries, even a city park on a nice day.

I've left my house for maybe 2 hours in the last 12 days.

I don't have anywhere to go. I stopped even taking my walks that I was forcing myself to go on for a while and didn't really notice.

I just got a new job. And moved to a big city out of a small town.

Its done nothing. My kind of job doesn't exist anywhere within like, 1000km minimum anyway.

I can't possibly rationalize spending 200 dollars an hour to talk to somebody as being something that would help.

I've spent 2000 hours talking to myself in the last 3 years and that hasn't helped at all.

oh hey I missed my first 1:1 with my boss because it was my first one and I don't know the times and didn't bother to check when I accepted the invitation. and i didn't see the outlook pop up because i haven't been able to bring myself to actually sit in front of my laptop for the last 5 hours

he didn't say anything in slack or anything. so whatever I guess.

too bad because I had a lot to talk about.

tomorrow is going to be a bad day too. i just dont want to do anything anymore.

its unthinkable to me that wasting my money on that can help. At my last job I abused my 1:1s to use my boss as a therapist, it only helped for about the length of time I talked and 15 minutes after.

while life may have no inherent meaning, you can live a meaningful life. sounds like you need more connections with other people; maybe do some volunteering or take up a hobby

there is an inherent risk in taking a new job that it will not be what you expected

also it is not wrong to be frustrated by remote work, the whole concept is largely MBA-driven

Also the people I've come across who work remote for years on end, typically do so at home with family. Going it alone like a prisoner is rare.

i understand this feeling but it is entirely, easily possible for you to trap yourself in a circular loop of reasoning that is based on faulty assumptions

a therapist can help point these out, or at least try to help break you out of such a loop

also, a therapist could possibly help guide you into doing things that could lead to forming new social connections, because it sounds an awful lot like you are just completely alone where you are - not just in your home, but overall - and that is not healthy, it is obviously taking a major toll on your health.

I'm going to rearrange my work space and move my work desk and computer stuff to a different room. I don't expect it to help much but its obviously bad where I put it.

2 chrome windows on one. IDE for main work on one. Another small screen for distraction/interrupt work. Slack/email/source tree/notes on one.
