Sorry for asking for some more recommendations but I've been on a HUGE death metal kick recently and besides the classic bands (BOLT THROWER and Autopsy being the best) I've never done a huge deep dive into death metal.

I loving LOVE the putrid-gurgle-noise-blast bands like Last Days of Humanity and Pissgrave. I like the classic goregrind bands like early Carcass and General Surgery and stuff too but I feel like the LDoH and Pissgrave just take it to another level and I'm looking for more stuff that scratches that itch.

Bands like Haemorrhage, Pathologist, The County Medical Examiners and Regurgitate always fulfill that craving I have for early Carcass. With Pathologist, make sure you are hearing the early pressings of the first two records. There was a 2-on-1 reissue that came out a while back that sped up the recordings to fit on one CD. Other bands I like that kind of fall into this category are Flesh Grinder, Butcher ABC, Holocausto Canibal and Medical Etymology... if you're into more grindy stuff, try Squash Bowels, Dead, Reek of Shits and Dead Infection. Lymphatic Phlegm are absolutely essential GoreGrind. Same with Catasexual Urge Motivation. With GoreGrind, when I'm checking out a band I always start from the early releases and move up to the new ones. Haemorrhage sound pretty different on We are the Gore or Hospital Carnage than they did on Emetic Cult. Still awesome, but I prefer the wet, chunky gurgles and pitchshifted growls on the early releases If you are looking for GoreNoise stuff that LDOH did, check out the Asian Pathological Vomit Gorepremacy split that New Standard Elite put out earlier this year. Four bands on that split: Excruciation, Cystgurgle, Cancrum Oris and Cardiomyopathy. It's extremely my poo poo, just nothing but blasts, noise, gurgles, burps and snares that sound like empty coffee cans. I found this band, Craniorachischisis, the other day while looking around bandcamp:

https://craniorachischisis.bandcamp.com/album/craniorachischisis

It's completely bananas GoreNoise.

I bring offerings from my latest bandcamp expedition.

https://atomicwitch-us.bandcamp.com/album/atomic-witch-void-curse-ep - Atomic Witch is death'y thrash'y metal, think early Kreator but with some serious high notes at times from the vocalist.

https://infantmeatshield.bandcamp.com/releases - Dutch death metal. Infant Meat Shield is a hell of a name. It's just kinda euro death metal, nothing really new. Has some groove to it at times though.

https://testimonyrecords.bandcamp.com/album/temple-of-dread-blood-craving-mantras - Temple of Dread. They call themselves old school death metal. The vocals are very shouty though, more in line with thrash metal stuff. It's cool stuff though.

https://moosifix.bandcamp.com/ - Yes, the name is Moosifix. They're from Canada. They play death metal.

https://errorgod.bandcamp.com/album/ballad-of-torture Danish death/grind stuff. Not really my thing all that much, but I know this thread likes stuff like this.

https://skeletalprison.bandcamp.com/track/sacred-massacre - Death/thrash stuff. Nothing too fancy, but well done.

That sucks but thanks for the heads up. I used to spin this one now and then but never really appreciated it. Unfortunately a lot of grindadjacent stuff doesn’t hit the spot anymore but this rules. The riffs and energy are so good. Vocals are amazing, not sure why I never noticed that before. Maybe it’s another case of the Full Dynamic Range Edition releases sounding great and making me appreciate certain bands more.

Were arghoslent as explicitly racist in 1993 when this is dated? I think their next demo in 1996 wast he first one to be explicitly racist. Arghoslent was basically a brand new band and probably didn't have that connotation yet.

Mark Riddick is one of the nicest guys I've worked with, I'd be really surprised to hear otherwise.

You make a good point about the timeline of Arghoslent, but at the same time you don't need to be explicitly racist in order to still harbor those same beliefs in private. Mark's art owns and I'm happy to hear you say that he's a good dude, so hopefully that rings true. His music is pretty good standard US death metal, too.

Doing a little math they were also 17 when Mark and his brother (I assume that's his brother) recorded that demo. I think it's understandable that a teenager who recorded a demo in the Virginia metal scene 25 years ago could make a demo with someone from Arghoslent's help, whether or not that band's racism was known, and not have it be a reflection of his current attitudes or politics.
