I need to find a group to make good on my threat to run 2Fast2Trader: Slinnar Drift, in which the party enters a space race run by a bored Dark Eldar Archon for the chance to win an untainted Slaughter-class Cruiser (those being the ones wot go fast). It'd be more in line with the Heifong Space Race in Outlaw Star than actual go-kart racing, but much of the 'race track' would contain opportunities to sabotage opponents and drift around stars/black holes (and sometimes opportunities to sabotage opponents while drifting around a black hole!).

Yeah iirc there's a theory based on injuries that if half of the brain is disconnected from the other half but somehow still alive, it develops its own full function. So if you wanted to say the machine body could replicate a brain stem, there's no reason the metal man couldn't be run by half a brain. But since it develops separately, your robo buddy may start to deviate from who you originally were.

My players pretty much shat their pants when the Inquisitor with whom they sometimes work conveyed her psychic vision of a daemon primarch being summoned unless they do X thing to stop it, mostly because this just seems like elevation of stakes as appropriate for the final act of the campaign. They have not yet figured out that the way in which you gain uncontrollable psychic visions of the past or future is entirely through gaining Corruption, and that it's completely untrustworthy as a source of information. It could be absolutely accurate, or it could be complete garbage.

What’s really weird to me is that they’re a fairly insightful party except for this one specific thing. For example, they got an emergency extraction request from some Ultramarines and almost immediately deduced (correctly) that it was a trap laid by the Alpha Legion with very little information to go on.
