actually while we're talking mods, credit where credit's due, back in 2014 i assumed spanish francolove was a creeper and treated him accordingly but have since heard from enough people that he's actually a great guy irl that i'm convinced. that is no comment on his moderation, which i didn't experience but am sure was terrible, or the mensa thing, but let it be written in forums lore that he was ok

Didn't Franco stalk the GBS ladies thread? I am not a lady so I never posted there, but that was what I heard. As a mod he was kinda bad I guess, though I would not have wanted to mod GBS in that era (or any other era).

Being a mod of GBS would be insanely easy. Just ignore every report besides the bigoted/criminal ones. Maybe pop into threads every once in awhile and say "hey, this derail is over."
