I was at the GCW/BLP show. Thoughts: -Show kicker rear end from start to finish, with the exception of the Lawler/Mancer match. I’ll give this much though: Lawler was bumping for Mancer far more than I was expecting going in. -I spent a large portion of the ladder match moving out of the way for other wrestlers. First, after Shane Mercer launched Logan Stunt three rows deep, I had to dodge Marko, who had been watching from near the entrance and was sprinting to check on his bro. Next, I had to get the gently caress out of the way so G-Raver could get to the back after the accident. Finally, just as I moved back into position, I had to move again for Nate Webb and the Stunts making their way down to the ring. -I feel bad for Warhorse and Gary Jay; they were pretty much the only real Black Label Pro talent on this show, and had a tough act to follow in the 8 man ladder match. They worked their asses off, and we even got a couple of “Warhorse” chants in, but we were totally exhausted after that ladder match. I would dare say this match might have faired better if it was either before the ladder match, or after Orange/Gangrel. -I hadn’t seen or heard of Effy before this match with Gage. Between the promo he cut in the leadup to the show, and this performance here, it is safe to say I am now a big Effy fan.

Spoilering for some serious blood I just watched the BJW Ikkitousen match between Toshiyuki Sakuda and Ricky Shane Page and they did this exact same spot smoothly, thank gently caress it did not hit Raver's artery. Top 3 disgusting deathmatch injuries with Gage's artery cut and Necro's arm getting gouged to poo poo in IWA Mid-South for sure.

I’d really like to give GCW a fair shake but I hate matches with overly dangerous weapon spots often for the sake of doing them. Like, Janela-Moxley just felt like too much at points, like when Mox dumped Janela’s feet in tacks.
