OK so in the US in a an accident like this the standard is you get 2x your medical bills in "pain and suffering" and normally your lawyer takes 1x medical bills as payment so whatever your medical bills are, you literally pocket the same amount even after paying the lawyers. Running up the medical bills is easy as gently caress and a moral duty. Oh and if you feel sad because of being hurt, that's on them too and the shrink bills go on the tab too.

Would attract teachers who like the subject matter and / or teaching rather than the "those who can't do, teach, and do so for the paycheck" type of people

So yeah. It's reinforcing my decision this year to go back to college at night and get a graduate certificate in an entirely different field and run like hell come May. I can't live this stressed.
